Chapter 156: Meeting Cain and Abel

Suddenly, Ryker jumped into something while I hugged him, burying my face in his wet fur and inhaling his scent. As I was about to push myself into a sitting position, I was greeted by a splash of water, and it was too late for me to scream.

When I emerged with my head on the water, I kicked frantically to float. Ryker's smiling face greeted me while he wrapped his arms around my waist. 

"You jumped in the ocean! I was surprised!" I almost screamed at him. I would have slapped him if it wasn't for his grinning smile. 

"This is not an ocean, Love. This is just a small lake. My secret place," he answered me before he swam us to the shallow part of the lake. 

He sat on something and pulled me to his lap without taking his hands off me. 

I was surprised when he said a small lake; it wasn't small at all. It is wide, and it is centered on two lands. 

"What is on the other border?" I asked him while placing my head on his chest.
