MUP: Chapter 69. Rejection

In the afternoon, the number of people queuing in front of the food truck gradually decreased.

After the last steamed dumpling was sold out, [Shell] looked at the few scattered ingredients left, turned to the guests who were still waiting in line in front of the food truck and apologised.

"Sorry, everyone, we're all sold out."

"Oh, no!"

"Come on, I just got in line! "

"How could this happen? I was next."

"Sir, can't you do something? I came all the way here specifically for your dumplings."

Although the remaining customers protested, [Shell] shook his head, "I don't have any more ingredients. If you really want to get some dumplings, please come back tomorrow."

After politely persuading the customers to come back another day, [Shell glanced at the Stark Industries building behind him. He then turned around and started packing up the food truck, although he looked like he was driving a food truck and worked on things that a food truck owner would work on, he wasn't really there to sell food.

Reputation points were Ryan's real target. This was why his [Shell] clone appeared in front of Stark Industries.

It was just a pity that Tony hadn't appeared in Stark Industries these days. 'Such a pity...'

Fortunately, he wasn't the only one hanging around.

He glanced up at Agent Coulson, who was hiding not far away.

In the antique shop, Ryan felt a little comfort.

"You're the one who's been selling ... Happy, what has he been selling in front of my building in the past few days?" Just as Ryan was telling his clone to pack up the truck and come back, a slightly frivolous voice rang out.

Looking up, he saw Tony Stark, a frequent contributor to New York's Entertainment Weekly's gossip page, standing in front of the food truck, looking him up and down.

"Dim sum, Tony." From the side, Happy quickly reminded him.

In the distance, Agent Coulson noticed the figure appearing in front of the food truck, took a step forward, then stopped and made an observation while frowning.

'Why is Tony Stark here in Stark Industries right now?'

"Oh right, dim sum." Raising an eyebrow, Tony looked a bit dazed. He then turned his head towards [Shell]'s food truck and said, "Give me one of your best dishes."

Tony's appearance was somewhat unexpected for Ryan.

If possible, he would certainly be willing to cook and collect some of Tony's reputation points. That would be an unexpected double profit in business. For one thing, there really weren't that many ingredients left in the food truck, and for another, there's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent watching in the distance. Ryan couldn't bear to discard the [Shell] card too early because of some unusual things the character was forced to do that attracted suspicion from Agent Coulson.

So, after much hesitation, Ryan decided to let the clone continue to carry out [Shell]'s persona.

"I'm sorry, we're closing up." From inside the food truck, the clone shook his head and spoke directly to Tony.

"Closing up?"

Tony blinked and glanced around at the several food trucks that were still busy serving customers, "At this hour?"

"We've run out of ingredients, so if you want to eat, come in line early tomorrow morning." After saying that, Ryan controlled [Shell] to turn around, deliberately ignoring Tony's obviously uncomfortable expression, and continued to pack up the things in the food truck.

Raising his eyebrows, Tony looked at the figure who ignored him and asked in an awkward tone, "um, you don't know me?"

"Who are you?" However, in the fast food truck, [Shell] still maintained his indifferent chef persona.

To that, Tony certainly wouldn't answer with his own name. So he said, "That's my building over there."

"So?"

Tony originally thought that after hearing his identity, the other party would be shocked.

However, the reaction of the owner of the food truck was completely different from his expectation.

"As I said, if you want to eat, get in line tomorrow morning."

After saying that, without waiting for Tony to react, [Shell] walked out of the food truck and pulled down the side shutters.

"Happy."

In front of Stark Industries, Tony watched the food truck drive away. Expressionless, he told Happy, "I want to see that guy's dishes on my desk by tomorrow morning. You better pray that they taste as good as you say they do, or someone's going to wash all the cars in my garage. By hand."

  ...

"You're late."

Inside the law office, Luke remarked as Jessica walked in.

Sitting in his chair and hearing Jessica walk in, Matt suddenly turned his face sideways and frowned.

"I'm sorry." Jessica apologised after scratching her messy long hair, "Something came up."

Matt: "Is someone following you? "

Hearing Matt's question, Luke suddenly changed his expression and stood up. He approached the door, "Who is it? Someone from the Hand?"

"I don't know." Shaking his head, Matt gripped his guide stick, "I only heard one person."

Jessica looked at the two men's somewhat fierce reaction and hesitantly held up her hand, "Well, actually, you don't need to be so nervous. I invited the man at the door."

"You invited him?"

Jessica's words eased the tense atmosphere in the office, but Luke still didn't relax. He frowned at Jessica, "Jessica, you should know what we are going to do next."

"Of course, I know." Nodding, Jessica then turned her head to the office door and called the person in, "Come in."

As Jessica's voice fell, the door to Matt's law office was opened.

A man in a white robe came in, and his face was mostly covered by a white hood, revealing only the slender arc of his chin.

Looking at all the people in the office, the man spoke with a heavy tone.

"My name is Wesley Gibson. I'm from the Brotherhood. "
