"It looks like we need to use the big guy to open up the field."
Frank patted Cage's back as he said so. Frank's expression was somewhat annoyed because he kept getting suppressed by enemy fire.
"Big guy?" While struggling to withstand the gunfire, hearing Frank's words, Cage's face had a somewhat puzzled expression.
"I'm going to the car, cover me!"
Despite his doubts, Cage cooperated with Frank's request and moved to the side of the Hummer while facing the hail of bullets.
"All right." Frank patted Cage on the back again and motioned for him to stop.
Frank rolled and ducked into the Hummer. The rain of bullets that followed him shattered the glass, they caused deep and shallow scratches on the Punisher's face, but he ignored the wounds on his face and grinned as he found the rocket launcher he had already prepared. He aimed it at the cyborg army, "Nice toys, but it's my turn now."
With that, he pulled the trigger. With a sharp launch, the rocket-propelled out with some white smoke.
Without looking at the results of the launch, the Punisher took out another rocket launcher.
Boom -- boom --
Two consecutive rockets were fired, directly engulfing the cyborg army in an explosion.
The shock wave caused Kingpin's suit to flutter. He turned his head to look at Ivan, who looked confident while saying, "Don't worry, that kind of explosion won't damage them."
Sure enough, with the fire and smoke of the explosion cleared, the cyborg army still emerged intact in front of the Defenders' eyes. It may be exaggerated to say that they were intact. The explosion from the rocket launcher did cause a certain degree of damage to the cyborgs, and some cyborgs lost the skin parts of their faces, revealing the bloody half-muscles half-wires interior. However, after Ivan had modified them, they no longer felt pain, so there was no concern over these damages.
"What?!"
Seeing that, even the Punisher frowned. The cyborg army in front of him was even more difficult to deal with than he had thought.
Fortunately, after the baptism from the bazooka, the weapons in the cyborg army's hands seemed to be affected. They had to withdraw the weapons and switch to other modes of combat.
"Bang --"
Luke Cage couldn't help but frown when he threw a punch at one of the cyborgs, "Be careful, these guys are tougher than they look."
"They're not just tough."
Swinging a glowing fist at the cyborg, Danny's expression changed for a moment, "They're way stronger too."
A single cyborg was able to make an invincible Cage and Iron Fist-wielding Danny wary. Looking ahead at the densely marching cyborg army in front of them, Cage and Danny couldn't help but glance at each other. Both looked at each other's eyes, seeing a tiny trace of fear.
"It looks like we're in big trouble."
"Huge trouble."
A sudden shot went through the eye of the cyborg. Although a lot of modifications were made, the fleshly part of their faces was still their weakness. The blueprints only related to the cybernetic modifications on a human body and didn't include modifications on a person's brain.
Ivan made a lot of changes to the blueprints through his rich experience. However, he obviously didn't make much changes to the core part of the body, the human brain.
After all, cerebral modifications were too dangerous. The slightest alteration to it may cause the entire operation to fail.
Successfully stopping the cyborg in front of his clone; in the antique shop, Ryan didn't have the slightest hint of joy.
The present situation was quite obvious. Kingpin and Ivan didn't only team up to modify Bullseye's body, they built an entire cyborg army! This meant the Defenders couldn't win against them right now.
And, if they're not careful, the Defenders might really die today.
Considering the situation and the reputation points, naturally, Ryan couldn't just sit by and watch. After all, every Defenders member lost meant one less person Ryan could target to harvest points.
But in the situation at hand, there was no way to lead the Defenders to victory.
'Looks like there's no other way. I'll have to bring out [Master Roshi] or other characters.'
Frowning, Ryan started to arrange for backup plans.
However, before that, he made his clone look up at Bullseye and Jessica, who were fighting in midair. Luke raised an eyebrow, then shot up into the air.
Bang --
It was clearly just an ordinary shot, but under the effect of [Lucky One], it cleverly interrupted Bullseye's attack on Jessica. And, it coincidentally jammed into Bullseye's arm, in the seam on his joint.
"What?"
Looking at his arm that suddenly couldn't move, Bullseye's cold face revealed a hint of confusion. He raised his other hand to use the blade and get the jammed bullet out. When he lowered his head, he saw a cowboy slightly lifting his white Stetson, greeting him.
"It's you!!"
Looking at the cowboy on the ground, Bullseye's memory surged back up. He remembered that the cowboy down there had a lot to do with why he became like this.
Thinking of that, the expression on his face started to distort. He abandoned his fight with Jessica and flew toward Luke.
However, in the middle of the flight, he suddenly stopped his movements. The original twisted expression on his face reverted to an icy look.
Not only Bullseye but all the cyborgs in front of the building also stopped moving.
Matt panted. Sensing the cyborg had suddenly stopped attacking, he looked puzzled.
"Almost there."
Just then, Ivan, who had been standing beside Kingpin, slowly looked up. The corners of his lips were hooked up, and an ugly smile appeared on his face as he whispered in broken English.
