"Me?"
Facing Loki's question, under the mask, the corners of Ryan's mouth slightly hooked up and then turned into a little smile.
"I'm just a regular thief with a curious mind."
With those words, Ryan whirled around and released his grip on Mjolnir.
Mjolnir fell into the crater formed by the previous impact.
In the next instant, the thunder power in Thor's hammer, which had been temporarily erased by the power of [Imagine Breaker], exploded as if it was venting something that was suppressed.
In an instant, violent lightning flooded the base, illuminating the whole base like daylight.
...
Boom --
"Looks like it's going to rain..."
Inside the hospital, Jane Foster heard the deafening sound of thunder and subconsciously uttered the words.
"Compared to that, I think you should watch where you're going next time." Her assistant, Darcy Lewis, spoke up to remind her. At the same time, she spoke to the nurse in front of her and revealed, "She hit him with the car."
"I grazed him, but she tasered him." Turning back, Jane pulled in Darcy to share the blame.
"Yes, I did." Darcy didn't deny it, "What? He was yelling and screaming, it was freaking me out!"
"So, what's his name?"
Interrupting the quarrel between Jane and Daisy, the nurse impatiently asked.
'Thor... He said it was... Thor? ..." Jane opened her mouth and answered with some uncertainty.
Boom --
Accompanied by thunder and lightning on the hospital bed, Thor opened his eyes.
He immediately saw a strange man with an odd sharp item he had never seen before, aiming it at his arm, "Hi! You're awake? Don't worry, just taking a little blood."
"How dare you attack the son of Odin!?"
However, Thor didn't appreciate the doctor's kindness and instead shouted with an agitated look on his face.
As he spoke, he waved his big thick arm and threw the male nurse, who grabbed his arm, aside.
"I need some help!"
Faced with Thor's aggressive reaction, the nurses and doctors from the other beds rushed over to try to hold him down.
Unfortunately, even if he had lost his divine power, Thor's strong muscles couldn't be held down by ordinary people. Looking at the doctors lunging at him, he didn't hesitate to swing his arms around and fling them away. After a couple of swings, he managed to get them off of him.
Boom --
There was a loud thunderclap in his ears, and Thor's emotions grew even more agitated, "It's Mjolnir; it's calling me!"
"Call security!"
Looking at the frenzied Thor, the remaining nurses in the ward immediately shouted.
"Security to ER 3, stat!"
"What's going on?"
Inside the hospital lobby, Erik Selvig looked at the security guards who had suddenly sprung into action and were rushing towards one of the wards with puzzled expressions on their faces.
"Who knows?"
Shrugging her shoulders, Jane withdrew her eyes from the guards and then asked Erik, "Isn't there any other way, Erik? You know how important the data is to my research. They didn't even leave me with a backup copy of it."
"I'm sorry, Jane. They're not ordinary people. You know that scientist I mentioned before, the guy doing research on gamma radiation? Bruce Banner? I haven't seen him since S.H.I.E.L.D. started looking for him."
"They can't do this to us. I have to get that data back!"
...
"Sir, please calm down. Calm down, or we'll have to take drastic measures."
Suppressing the rampaging Thor, a guard shouted.
Raising his arm, Thor shook off the two guards who grabbed him. Thor was still caught up in his emotions, "Agggh! You are no match for the mighty..."
More guards rushed forward to subdue Thor. Listening to his angry voice, one of the doctors didn't hesitate to pick up an anaesthetic-filled syringe and gave him the shot.
In an instant, Thor, who was originally formidable and invincible, instantly fainted.
...
The powerful current generated by Thor's hammer instantly knocked out the power supply to the entire base, throwing the otherwise well-lit base into darkness.
Standing in front of Ryan, facing the brunt of the lightning, Loki subconsciously raised his own arm in front of his eyes to block the light.
When he opened his eyes again, he found that Ryan's figure had already disappeared.
Mjolnir had disappeared along with the thief.
"Damn it!"
[Reputation points from Loki Laufeyson +800]
With a faint glint of magic in his eyes, Loki's gaze swept through the dim base in front of him.
However, apart from the confused researchers, the previous figure, that called himself Phantom Thief, disappeared.
"I'll find you, little bug!"
A cold light flashed in his eyes, and he waved his cane. In the next instant, his whole body disappeared from the base as well.
A few minutes later, the power supply to the research base was restored.
Agent Coulson looked at the empty crater and the missing mysterious hammer, then turned to look at the huge ice block Loki's magic had created and quickly took out his own communication device, "Sir, we have a problem."
...
A few days later.
New Mexico, Puente Antiguo,
After a series of misunderstandings and uproars, Jane and the others managed to get acquainted with Thor, who had escaped from the hospital.
"How did you get inside that cloud?"
Inside a diner, the three people looked at Thor, who was wolfing down his food, with a look of scrutiny in their eyes.
Through the few remaining photos, they managed to identify Thor as the odd figure that had fallen from the sky earlier.
Gulping down three portions of breakfast, Thor didn't make as much of a fuss as before in the face of Jane and the others' curious inquiries. After the encounters these past few days, he had learned the meaning of the word 'calm' sufficiently. He understood that impulsiveness didn't solve anything; on the contrary, it only brought him more problems.
After eating all the food in front of him and downing a large glass of tea, he felt alive again, "My Father banished me from Asgard, and I fell from the sky. That's all."
"Father? Asgard?"
Darcy turned to look at Erik silently with a somewhat subtle expression. They both thought that, perhaps, Thor had been hit too hard by the car, and something was knocked out of his head.
