Past(3) : Family?

(In the old house)

In the early morning, a certain boy was sleeping soundly in his bed.

"Jack wakey~ wakey~, Wake up!" jack was startled by the sudden loud voice.

he sat up as his gaze met with the green sparkling eyes . he shot up from his bed immediately like a cat got stepped on its tail.

**giggle**giggle**

Kyle giggled seeing jack's reaction.

"The breakfast is ready~, eat it before it cools down," kye said as he exited jack's room.

jack was frozen for a few moments before he regained his composure.

jack hurriedly followed kyle.

On the dinner table were various delicious-looking dishes.

like salad, eggs, baken and many more... it was a very nutritious meal.

jack drooled as he looked at the food but he soon gained his composure.

jack was looking at the food as he was lost in his thoughts.

"Hey! I made all food for you to eat not to stare. You Don't like my cooking?" kyle pouted as his cheeks bulged like a squirrel.

"NO NO, It's just that I wanted to say something to you kyle" Jack replied as he appeared to be nervous.

"You can tell me anything we are family after all!" kyle immediately replied.

"Fam-ily ?" Jack.

"Yes! family From the day I decided to take care of you, you became our family member as they take care of each other " Kyle replied.

"So, tell me what you wanted to say, I am all ears"

"It's just that I wanted to Than-k Oww" jack.

kyle flicked his finger on kyle's head.

"There is no need for you to thank me, you are part of our family now. there is no thank u - welcome in between the family members" kyle smiled as he replied as he poked jack's cheeks with his fingers.

"O-k" jack replied.

"Now now enough talking, Start eating!" kyle said.

jack started to eat but not as hurriedly as yesterday.

his curly hair looked messed up and his blue eyes sparkled as he ate bite by bite.

kyle signed as he observed jack with a smile on his face.

(while jack and kyle were having breakfast. outside of the house)

Two solitudes in ragged clothing walked towards the door of the house.

They looked like beggars as their clothes had many holes in them and their faces were covered in dust and mud.

"I bet kyle missed me, She doesn't like it when she is left alone in the home," Mark said as he approached their house.

"You are forgetting there is that boy in the-"

"OhhHHHH shit** I forgot about him while returning from the guild" mark interrupted mick as he was saying something.

"We picked him up as his life was in danger but what about after that " Mick asked.

"We don't know his personality or past. we should test him. if he is kind-natured he may live with us otherwise we should hand him to UN Association where he will be provided with his daily necessities and education too " Mark said.

"I hope we don't have to do that, kyle seems to like him since she first saw him," Mick said.

"me too brother me too," Mark said while nodding his head.

"So, what are we waiting for, let's go in!" Mark declared as he pressed the button on the doorbell of a rusty-looking door.

jack posed eating as his ears perked up.

jack and kyle both heard the doorbell.

"Ah Mick and Mark may be back, I will be back in a moment, jack you continue eating~" Kyle said as he sat up from the chair. to open the door.

'my saviors? those who saved me huh, I wonder what type of people are they?' jack.

Will they hand me to some other orphanage?

will they hate him?

The door of the house opened and a beautiful person with blonde shoulder-length hair and green eyes who appeared to be 11 to 12 years old walked out.

there stood two people who had ragged clothes and could be easily mistaken for beggers.

if not for their handsome faces with unique redheads and one of them having light blue skin.

both parties' eyes met each.

"..." Kyle.

"..." Mark.

"..." Mick.

"puff!.. puff hahahhahhahah!" kyle tried not to laugh but couldn't control herself and laughed out aloud.

Mick and Mark warily smiled

"hahahha~ what happed to both of you? both of you look like beggars, quick come inside" Kyle stopped laughing and welcomed them inside.

In the hallway of the house.

"Both of you should first take a bath you both stink! and change your clothes ~ " Kyle said with a smile on her face.

"You seem to be quite happy," Mark said as he narrowed his eyes like a parent looking at their child expressing their first crush.

"You Quite like that boy huh hmm" Mick expressed his thought bluntly.

"what li-ke , I..i..i.. Yes.. I like him" Kyle said shuttering while fidgeting. admitting it was true

"We gotta meet him Mick, I can't let our princess be taken by just anybody," Mark said while he resolved to question the boy.

Mick nodded in agreement.

"hey! Don't call me princess in front of him" Kyle said.

"But why?" Mark questioned her while taking out a can of cold coffee and taking a sip

"Aa.. I told him that I am a Bo-Y ".

*puff*

*splash*

Mark spit off the coffee in his mouth, which drenched Mick who was in front of him.

"What did you say!?!!" Mark.

*chop*

Mick gave a head chop on Mark's head.

"Calm down and let her finish first," Mick said wiping the coffee from his face.

"Sorry~" Mark replied, "I got too emotional, Kyle is pretty and also handsome in a way but I would not believe her to be a boy even if you tell me".

"I thought he would get disgusted of me being a mixed breed girl." Kyle.

"NO one will get disgusted by you kyle," Mick said like it was a fact.

"Yes! yes! who would hate a cutie like you," Mark said as he pinched kyle's cheeks.

kyle blushed and she pouted as she said "Enough talking! first, go take a bath both of you stink! "

Kyle pinched her nose as she gestured for both brothers to go upstairs to the bath.

both Brothers smiled as they made their way toward the bathroom.

At the dinner table.

(Author: from here on kyle will be pronounced as 'she' as her gender is reviled)

"I am back~," Kyle said as she returned to the dining room.

jack smiled as he started eating nervously.

he had stopped eating after kyle left as he was lost in his thoughts about figuring outMick and Mark's personalities.

"You have not eaten yet? did you not like my cooking!" kyle said as she teased jack.

"Mick and Mark will be back in a moment after taking bath, be at ease you don't need to be nervous in front of them, both of them are friendly and fun to be around," Kyle said with a smile on her face.

In the hallway leading towards the dining room.

"Let's check out the boy if he is worthy of our kyle," Mark said.

"Don't let your emotions blind your judgment mark" mick advised.

"I think we should keep him as he can accompany kyle while we are out for work" mick suggested.

"When did I say that he has to leave? kyle like him! of course, I will make him stay! even if he doesn't want to!" mark replied as he humped.

mark's tsundere side was in open both kyle and mick knew that even if mark tried to act tough he was a big softie from inside.

"Yes yes, you didn't say that," Mick said as he ' there's No use arguing with him in the first place.'

Mark reached the entrance of the dining room as he said "let's go in mick"

Jack was eating while kyle sat in front of him both of them turned their heads towards the entrance as they heard the footsteps.

"..." Mark's gaze met with the little boys.

the boy looked very short and was quite thin, he wore an oversized shirt and shorts, and his short curly black hair shinned when the light fell on them.

He had to say the boy looked quite cute after they cleaned him up.

"Hey Mark you are scaring the boy," mick said as he came between them.

jack appeared to be quite nervous and because of Mark's gaze, he became even more nervous

"Hey, both of you! stop standing and sit quickly I serve the food while it's hot, till then introduce yourselves~ to each other " Kyle said as she got up to leave towards the kitchen.

She wanted them to have some private time so they can have a good talk with each other and introduce each other.

Mick and Mark sat across the timid boy who trembled whenever their gaze met.

Mick sighed.

"let's introduce ourselves first shall we," Mick said "the name's Mick, Mick Walker and the one sitting beside me is my brother Mark Walker, As you can tell by looking I am a mix breed and he is a pure human"

Mark observed Jack's reaction, and so did Mick as they waited for the boys relpy.

after 3 min...

the boy spoke with a shuttering voice.

"I..I.....-I am Ja-ck don't have a sir name, because I am an orphan from the Y city orphanage," jack said.

"I would like to thank both of you for saving my life, I..I-I will not burden you I may be small but I can do all the house chores and work as a dummy too," jack said while fidgeting.

"Dummy?" Mick said in a questioning tone.

"Y-es In the orphanage the adult said that if I let other kids who awakened their abilities test them on me they will give me food, and they gave me injections after which I felt strange sometimes even pain . They call me a dummy and they said it was for society's good as I am too small for doing anything significant for them, I am just waste of-" before he could finish he was suddenly embraced by Mark who appeared beside him at a speed he couldn't even see.

Mick's eyes darkened.

"YOU Don't need to continue, That damn place has become even worse. THEY HAVE EVEN STARTED TO USE CHILDREN AS SOME TOOLS!" Mark said as a furious expression came on their face.

"Yes, they have crossed the line now!" Even Mick who was always cool-headed appeared to be very angry.

Standing beside the entrance kyle's expression froze.

she had not left as she told them.

from the start, she had just stood beside the entrance as she observed their interaction.

'He didn't mention me about any of this' kyle.

her hair covered her face and her expressions were hidden because of them as she got inside the kitchen hurriedly as a single drop of tear dropped from her eyes.

They all heard the hurried footsteps that came from the entrance of the dining room.

Mick sighed.

Mark"..."

jack "can You let me go, Pleas-"

Jack was feeling uncomfortable with Mark's tight hug.

"No, I will not .from today you are a part of our family. From now you will have your own sir name -

Jack Walker " Mark said as gently said as could and he tightened jack in his embrace.

A name that will cause terror in the hearts of all the beings in the Universe and the 'Multiverse'. Well That's a story for the future.

Now in present.

"Jack Walker?" jack said, he was surprised by this sudden emotional change that took place here.

But regardless he was happy because he would be able to live with kyle from now on, his only friend in this world.

"You don't need to worry They thrown me out like the other kids who couldn't work But I can because I'm no longer hungry now," Jack said as he tried to comfort them.

but it had the opposite effect.

"I remembered I had some chores to do I will eat later," Mick said gently as he got up but inside his mind a storm was brewing.

"Oh what a coincidence I also had some work to do~, I will be back in a while. tell kyle not to worry we will eat the food later," Mark said to jack as he also got up from the chair.

jack nodded he was confused as to why were they acting so, strange?

both of them were in no mood to eat.

they exited the dining room heading towards their own room. they needed to put an end to this.

The kids who jack thought to be just thrown were killed.

Yes killed during experiments and drug testing for making potions and other stuff that could improve human strength.

jack was lucky due to his malnourished weak body he was not good enough for the experiments.

So, he was expelled out to die in the snowfall but he survived because of Mark and Mick.

Jack resumed eating as he didn't like to waste food

Unaware of the storm brewing in the Walker household

"I Swear upon my name I kyle walker will protect you from any harm that may fall on you I will not let you get hurt again jack," said Kyle Who was sitting crouched with tears falling from her eyes.

she was sad that she didn't know about jack's whole situation and worse was that jack didn't even know that the horrible things happened to him. he treated it like it was, So normal.

Would she also have been in the same situation if she had not escaped the orphanage.

She wiped her tears and resolved to take revenge on the adults of the orphanage and show jack what was good and wrong and teach him many more things.

Inside a dim-lit room, Mark and Mick were discussing.

"Those FUCKERING BASTARDS! THEY HAVE DONE IT NOW." Mark shouted.

"Kyle Also would have been part of their experiments if not for the fact she escaped earlier" Mark's face twisted in anger.

"..." Mick was Silent. but his eyes said something else they were bloodshot.

they did their best to punish those officials in the orphanage in the past but the government never punished them instead they charged mark and mick for throwing dirt on their names.

It was clear that the government was also involved to some extent in those experiments if not even supported.

At that moment both Walker brothers swore in their hearts that they do everything they can to destroy this human experimenting organization that wears the skin of an Orphanage to fool the general public and also take care of jack as their own flesh and blood and give him a better life.

While the whole Walker family except their new joined member, Swore in their hearts to take vengeance on the orphanage or we can call it:

'The Human Child Experimenting Facility.'

But they Didn't know the danger that was lurking in the hemisphere of their own planet C1

that was far very very worse than they could imagine.
