A month has gone by since Roger's turned himself in.

On a small house surrounded by a fence, a boy could be seen running and playing around, a pink-blond hair woman could be seen looking over the boy.

There was a small noticeable bump on the woman's belly, signifying her pregnancy.

(Jack Pov)

Oh, it feels good to run.

Maybe, I think it's just because my baby body is filled with so much energy.

One thing that has been bugging me for a while is how my presence has accelerated so many things.

Roger turned himself a few months earlier than what I expected from the anime.

Is this what they called a butterfly effect?

My mother is also pregnant with Ace, which means she was closer to her death as she was going to hold Ace for 24 months to prevent people from finding any ties with my father.

I didn't want her to die, as I had gotten close to her these few years, even more so than my father.

The fact that my father was going to die didn't hit me as hard because I knew he will die as a happy man who accomplished his goals.

I was hoping my presence in this world would create some butterfly effect so my mother won't have to die.

As I was lost in my thoughts, I saw someone approaching our house.

He was wearing a standard marine uniform. However, from that distance, I couldn't distinguish what rank he was.

Seeing a marine approach our house I panicked as me and my mother were just two members in our house, as my grandma had gone to her hometown to take care of my grandpa who had got heart disease.

Countless thoughts run through my mind.

How did they find this Island?

Do they know about our relationship with my father?

What will they do to us?

I started thinking of ways in which we could save ourselves until the marine came close and I saw his face.

Monkey D. Garp

What the hell is he doing here, so early? Wasn't he supposed to arrive here when Ace was born?

I was dumbfounded seeing Garp here, but it also made my heart feel at ease since knowing his character I don't think he is here to capture us.

As I was lost in my thought, my mom who saw Garp arrive near our house panicked and was in front of me trying to take me in her embrace and run.

She might have thought he was here to capture us to end the pirate king bloodline.

"Relax, I am not here to arrest you", said the tall muscular man who appeared to be in his sixties, with a black beard and a scar over his left eye.

"Yes I have heard many things from Roger about you Vice Admiral Garp, but I still can't trust you until you state why you're here.", said the woman standing sturdily in front of the man.

"Sigh... You won't believe me now, will you? I am here to do what Roger had asked of me."

"You met Roger and what did Roger ask of you?"

"To answer your question, yes I did meet Roger when he was on his way to surrender. When I met him he asked me to look after you and your children."

"Now do you believe me and will you come with me as we both know this place isn't safe if the World Government finds out about your relation with Roger and his son."

"Roger had told me about your personality Garp-san, like how you have your own sense of justice."

"You are the only man in the navy that Roger respected as his rival.

"After being chased by you to oblivion and fighting countless battles with you, he came to regard you the same as one of his own friends."

"Roger also trusted you very much, so if he was the one who sent you I will believe you. What do we have to do?"

"Good, now as you know this Island isn't safe for you, Jack, and your unborn child, the government will find out about you and Roger's connection. So we have to move somewhere safe.", answered the man while giving a serious look.

"Exactly where?", asked Rouge.

"Dawn Island, in the East Blue."

"There is a village I was born and raised in, it will be quite safe as it is relatively unknown to the world so nobody should pry that much into it."

"I also have certain people there who will take care of you during your pregnancy."

"Hurry up and pack your bags.", said Garp.

As Rouge went inside to pack their belongings, Garp took out his rice crackers and started munching.

Jack was curiously looking toward Garp eating his rice crackers.

'Are they that tasty, maybe I should ask him for some.' Jack thought inwardly.

Garp who was watching Jack eyeing his rice crackers started eating them more violently, before replying.

"Don't even think about it brat, this is my last packet, I will not share it with you no matter what puppy eyes you make", replied Garp vigorously munching his crackers.

"Who wants to eat your shitty rice crackers you smelly old man?", said Jack sticking his tongue out in a teasing manner.

"Brat you aren't even 2 yet, but still disrespecting your elders maybe you want some of my fist of love like your father.", said Garp while moving his fist towards Jack's head.

"Ouch!!, that really hurt you shitty old man", said Jack massaging two large bumps on his head.

"Now now what's going here? Why are you making so much noise Jack?", said Rouge who seemed to have completed her packing.

"Look mom, how this old dude hit me.", replied Jack showing bumps on his head.

"Now don't disrespect your elders, are these the manners I have taught you", said Rouge looking menacingly towards Jack.

"But mom he hit me first.", said Jack pleadingly.

"I heard how you were talking to Garp-san, and that is no way of speaking to someone who has come to help us. "

"Still mom, it really hurt so you have to apply for some medicine over it."

"Sure, now go and see if there are some of your toys inside that you want, I have packed only some of them so if you want to keep some more then bring them."

"Ahh, Okay mom. I will quickly look through them.", said Jack as he started running towards the house.

"Garp-san, I have finished packing our clothes and some essential items, when are we going to move?", asked Rouge.

"Oh about that we will move as soon as the ship is refilled, so why don't we start heading to the ship."

"Sure Garp-san, I can't thank you enough for what you are doing. Both me and Roger won't be able to repay this debt to you."

"No worries, this is something that bastard Roger asked of me, he was even sure I would accept it, how disgraceful is that bastard knowing so much about me."

"But if you really want to repay this debt, maybe you can buy me some rice crackers.", replied Garp with a huge grin on his face.

Now as the marine ship started to move, the Island we lived on got smaller and smaller until it completely vanished into the sea.

I am still massaging the massive bumps on my head.

Just how strong is this old man?

What the hell does he even eat? I need to find his recipe.

As the ship was moving towards Dawn Island only one thing came to my mind.

My adventure in One piece is about to begin.

Cold water splashed down on my ever-rising thoughts, thinking it would at least be a decade for anything interesting to happen or for me to even gain my powers.

So what, it's just a little wait, surely I can do much better things or even spend some time with my family.

The most important thing now is my mother, Portgas D. Rouge is safe.

(Roger's pov)

It might take me about a day to reach the nearest marine base.

The only thing that has been bugging me is the thought of my wife and child, how will they live once I am gone, who will protect them?

This guilt that I won't be there for them when they would need me the most has been plaguing me, making me hate my disease more than ever.

Pondering these thoughts I never realized a marine ship nearing me.

"Roger what is someone of your caliber doing here in South blue sea.", screamed Garp while preparing some cannons to throw at Roger.

"WAHAHA! Garp I never expected to meet you here, I have something to say to you I hope you will listen to me."

"What business does some scummy pirate have with me?"

"I want to have a talk with you in private", said Roger.

"Garp thought for while before jumping on the Roger boat."

It was a miracle to see how the ship was holding on with both Roger and Garp standing on it.

Realizing they must be quite far from the marine ship, Garp asked, "What do you want to talk about?"

"I want you to look after someone after I am gone."

"To look after who and where will you be gone?", asked Garp.

"My wife, son, and a child who is about to be born."

"To answer your other question, you might know that I have only some months to live, so I am going to surrender to the World Government."

"Why are you telling me this, any person who has a relation with you will be executed if the government finds out about it", said Garp angrily looking towards Roger.

"That's why I told you."

"If the government finds out about them, they will definitely execute them, but you know they have done no such crime, they bear no such sin as me, so I want you to look after them."

"You, just who do you think I am?", shouted Garp with an annoyed look.

"Garp! you and I have nearly killed each other countless times, I trust you as much as I would a member of my crew. Protect them for me.", said Roger giving a wide smile.

"Don't try to push your selfish crap on me."

"No, I know you will do it!", saying that Roger jumped on the marine ship.

On the ship, there were 2 vice admirals, 3 captains, and some low-level marines looking at Roger in front of them they were all taken by surprise but quickly regained their composure and started pointing weapons at Roger and got ready for a battle.

However, the attack from Roger never came, as his next world shocked everyone on board.

"I surrender."

Everyone was shocked hearing that but when Roger sat down on the ship and put his hand forward for seastone cuffs, cries of joy could be heard on the ship.

As they were the ones who caught The Pirate King, any onlookers would say only one thing 'how shameless.'

With so many marines onboard seeing Roger surrender Garp had no choice but to take him to Marine Headquarters.

The next day all major newspapers published one news "Gold Roger had turned himself in."

Only Garp was left alone to ponder about what Roger had said to him.
