Chargestone I

April 6th

The day after the match Richard had his Pokemon rest for the day as he planned to take at least two weeks off from challenging Gyms to explore Unova, train his Pokemon and possibly take some League Missions. Richard had two goals in mind when he decided to take some time to train his Pokemon. One goal is to evolve Boldore into Gigalith and the other is to strengthen all three of his Pokemon to a suitable level. This includes ranking up key moves like Psycho Cut for Gallade and Rock Slide for Boldore.

Richard did take a glance at Boldore and Gallade when he got back to the hotel from the Pokemon Center after his Match with Roxie. Both of his Pokemon went up one level with Gallade reaching leveled 40 while Boldore reached level 37.

His Gallade activated it's Hidden Ability Justified(Increase Atk when hit by a Dark Type Move) upon breaking through to the "Advanced Rank". Gallade retained its ability to Telepathically communicate with Richard even though the ability is no longer shown on Gallade's "Status" when Richard Appraised him. Maybe it is because Gallade is a Psychic Type, as they are known to be able to communicate regardless of their ability or it may be another reason, our blue-eyed protagonist isn't quite sure of the reason yet.

While Richard had his Pokemon rest, he revisited the Pokemon Center to see what kind of Missions were available around the Chargestone Mountain Range. As he was C-Grade Trainer the types of missions he could take were relatively decent overall. He saw very few missions he was interested in and that he could complete with his current abilities. Some of the Missions Richard could take included Berry and Herb Harvesting, Retrieving Corpses, Collecting Stones or Capturing a certain Pokemon.

Even though harvesting berries and herbs is one of the lower level missions even bottom barrel trainers can complete. Though some of the rarer berries like the Silver Pinap or Golden Razz are A-Grade Missions as they are dangerous to collect as they are usually found in "High Level" Areas. These so-called "High Level" Areas are infested with Elite Ranked Pokemon which are usually led by a Champion Ranked Pokemon.

Richard truly wasn't going to waste any valuable training time trying to collect berries or herbs for very little profit of 40-50$ Per Berry/Herb.

Finding stones or a certain Pokemon were missions that required a lot of patience and some luck while collecting Pokemon corpses seemed to be a decent way to make some quick cash as Pokemon can gain more energy of a certain type by consuming the corpse as well as certain parts of Pokemon can also used in medicine for Pokemon thus adding to the value of dead Pokemon.

Richard took one of the C-Grade Corpse collecting missions. This mission was more "General" as the corporation whom put up the mission request stated that they would buy any Pokemon Corpse as long as it was at the Upper Intermediate Grade(Lv.29) or Above. They were paying a decent amount per corpse though it depended on the type and rarity of the Pokemon. Like the Corpse of a Watchog(Lv.30) would be around 7,500$ while the corpse of a Gothorita around the same level would be around 75,000$ which is ten times higher, mainly due to the rarity of said Pokemon.

Richard planned to train his Pokemon by fighting wild Pokemon, which will help level his Pokemon through the "Experience" they gain from each battle. As Richard and his Pokemon will be facing wild Pokemon they may end up killing their opponent as wild Pokemon usually fight to kill. So Richard ended up taking this type of mission because he can make use of the wild Pokemon that will inevitably be killed by his Pokemon during the course of his planned training. Not to mention he can make some cash without relying on his family too much.

How would our dear blue-eyed protagonist store these said corpses? That is quite the easy answer. The Pokemon Center lent a Storage Ring, which doubles as a beacon and tracker for League Officers which will allow them to rescue you if you get into trouble. The ring itself is around three times the size of an Olympic Pool(150m Longx75m Widex6m Deep) and utilizes some sort of time-based law which allows the corpses to retain "freshness" without rotting away.

Richard checked out of the hotel early in the morning and made his way towards the Chargestone Mountain Range where our young trainer planned to train his Pokemon.

Around 4pm Richard reached a designated campsite that was situated between the Outskirts of the Northwestern Virbank Woods and the Southern Edge of the Chargestone Mountains. This campsite is actually a League created Area where trainers can rest without much worry. The camp is patrolled by some league officers and some Jenny clan members so trainers won't have to worry about being robbed, at least they don't need to worry within the camp. Quickly walking to the edge of the campsite Richard chose to set up on the camps outskirts close to the Mountains so he can avoid having to deal with noisy trainers and request for battles.

Looking up towards the mountain Richard found the Chargestone Mountain Range to be quite beautiful. From what he saw, the mountains had a sparkling blue hue to them, some of the mountains were small and smooth while others were tall and jagged. Richard saw two entrances into the mountain range. One was similar to the path one would take in games which would lead to the inside of the mountains while the other was a tunnel which directly lead a person to the outer area of West Driftveil.

As there were a little over three hours til sunset, our blonde trainer decided to do some exploring around the outer areas of Chargestone. So he set a timer on his phone and headed inside the mountains.

The inside of the mountain was just like it was in the games, there were floating blue crystals, light blue spots on the walls and floors that released minor jolts of electricity occasionally. Richard could see around 20 Pokemon soaking up this electrical energy. The Pokemon that the young trainer saw were Joltiks and Tynamo. These Pokemon were mainly Bronze Level Talents with their leaders being Silver Level Talents, with an average level of 8 while the leaders were level 12. Richard and his Gallade couldn't feel the presence of nor see any Galvantulas or Eelektriks near these Pokemon. Richard figured it would be alright to have his Honedge fight this cluster of Pokemon, so he quietly called Honedge out of his Pokeball.

"Hon!"

Honedge popped out of it's Pokeball carelessly alerting the two silver Pokemon into battle ready mode by letting out a noise when it unsheathed itself.
