Chapter 155: Fawkes attacks the intruder (Edited)

Harry and Ron walked into Dumbledore's office, it was their first time here. They knew where Headmaster Dumbledore's office was, but they had never set foot in it: what student would have nothing better to do than go to the Headmaster's office!

They followed Lockhart carefully, the sound of Professor Lockhart's footsteps muffling the noise they made.

Harry was glad Lockhart was there, because if Professor Dumbledore had been the only one in the corridor, they would have easily been caught.

The invisibility cloak only hid their bodies, not their scent or voices.

The stairs soon came to an end and Dumbledore opened the office door for Lockhart, inviting him in and glancing at Lockhart. Although it was Lockhart he was looking at, Harry felt Dumbledore's eyes pass over him, breaking out in a cold sweat. He felt a twinge of remorse: he shouldn't have followed the two professors so recklessly, and if he was found out, he would probably be punished, right?

But then he dismissed the thought: it was impossible, it was an invisibility cloak, how could a wizard see through it with his naked eyes? His curiosity prevailed over his remorse: he wondered why the two teachers were running around. He pondered in his mind: could it have something to do with the Chamber of Secrets? Harry thought: yes, only the Chamber of Secrets could have alerted Headmaster Dumbledore.

Harry's heart was pounding and he grabbed Ron's hand, who was also sweating, and was clearly nervous as well. The two tiptoed into the office.

"The human brain...surface memories...deep memories...sleep deep in our brains."

The two entered the office just in time to see Lockhart use his wand to pull strands of a silvery-white substance from his temple and deposit it in a stone basin.

The scene was so special that Ron almost touched a silver basin belching mist, the sound causing Lockhart to turn his head and look in his direction.

"A little something I made, to keep the air moist." Just as Harry's heart was rising in his throat, Dumbledore spoke up, briefly describing his little ornament.

The other three in the room were speechless: this thing looked so tall, but it turned out to be an air humidifier... And the Scottish Highlands didn't need a damn humidifier! Dehumidification is the way to go, isn't it?

Tom rolled his eyes and ignored Dumbledore. Dumbledore pulled a vial containing the same silvery substance from his sleeve and poured out its contents. Next, Professor Dumbledore and Lockhart fell into the stone basin.

Ron's mouth was open wide enough to fit an apple, and he tried to take off his cloak and say something, but Harry stopped him, pointing to the headmaster's portrait on the wall, and Ron understood and shut his mouth.

If the two had appeared out of nowhere, the "witnesses" would have informed Professor Dumbledore later. They took the opportunity to peek into the headmaster's office. It wasn't long before the two, Dumbledore and Lockhart, emerged from the stone basin.

Harry and Ron had no idea what had happened in the stone basin, but from their conversation they had learned of the cursed gold coin. They watched as Dumbledore walked out of the office with Lockhart, both of them looking at each other under their cloaks.

Only after Dumbledore and Lockhart had left did they dare to try to sneak out of the office. Although they were still cloaked, Harry and Ron let their guard down: Professor Dumbledore and Lockhart had already left, so it was no big deal for them to be sneaking around, since they were unlikely to be caught in the act anyway.

Evidently, it hadn't occurred to them that there were more than two live professors in the office.

As Ron's hand was already on the doorknob of the office door, there was a flash of red light and Fawkes, the Phoenix, who had been crouched on a branch, opened his eyes and rushed towards Ron like a small cannonball. He had heard the noise and decided to teach the intruder a lesson.

"Bang! Crack!" Despite the invisibility cloak, Fawkes was able to hear the sound, and with two crisp phoenix thuds, the intruders, Harry and Ron, lost consciousness.

The cloak fell away from their bodies and Fawkes clearly saw the faces of the two, and suddenly his head spun. Unlike ordinary birds of prey, Fawkes was not the phoenix of Eastern mythology, but an immortal bird of human nature. It is as intelligent as an adult. After recognizing Harry Potter, Fawkes scratched his head in a very human way, showing a hint of helplessness.

He looked around, dragged them away from the door and into a corner where they wouldn't trip others, then, invisibility cloak in mouth, covered them again.

Once the two were settled, Fawkes disappeared into thin air.

...

Lockhart's office.

"So this is [Sister]?" Dumbledore picked up his half-moon glasses and looked carefully at the alchemy puppet in front of him for a moment, "Very clever idea! The enclosed spell is really interesting, and the alchemy method is also very thoughtful, come, Professor Lockhart, help me..."

Dumbledore moved [Sister] to the center of the office, and then he and Tom began to work together on the figure. Dumbledore was indeed, as he said, "proficient" with alchemy.

He was a much better alchemist than Tom. Tom was enlightened by the various techniques. With Dumbledore's intention to teach him, Tom's alchemy even went straight to level two. In addition, Dumbledore was also a master of magic spells and shapeshifting, so [Sister] 2.0 was soon released.

This time, it was faster, stronger, more durable, and could be controlled more precisely through the "handle."

"Come, Professor Lockhart, bring your new teaching material!" Dumbledore looked at the setting sun and sighed in relief. This transformation was a heavy burden for him. Fortunately, there was a semi-finished product, otherwise he might not be able to successfully improve it.

He returned the [Sister] to Tom.

[Semi-automatic combat doll "Sister" (5 stars): the work of several masters, can achieve semi-automatic combat, powerful, great potential].

As the greatest wizard of our time, Dumbledore has transformed [Sister] into a five-star figure.

As Tom studied the new puppet, Dumbledore glimpsed the head of a bright red bird peering out of the office window.

Dumbledore: "..."

He opened the window, and Fawkes rested his head on Dumbledore's hand and exchanged a greeting with him.
