Chapter 562: Uranus (Edited)

When Tom went to sleep, he still clung to the naive idea that maybe he could dream of that rainy night. But it turned out he was wrong, as he had a dreamless, pleasant nap. When he woke up, the afternoon had already passed...

Tom headed to the common room with a vacant look and a buzzing head. It wasn't due to any injuries he had suffered, but rather the headache caused by sleeping too long. Oversleeping leads the brain into a state of deep sleep, slowing down blood circulation and causing a lack of blood supply upon waking, resulting in a headache. Even a wizard couldn't avoid this problem.

Dinner time had already passed, and the young Ravenclaw wizards were busy in groups of two or three in the common room, engrossed in their own affairs.

Tom found an empty seat and stared out the window. As oxygen-rich blood flowed to his brain, his headache began to ease.

"Tom, do you have a moment?" Padma sat down at Tom's table along with two girls. Tom looked up and was slightly surprised, as these two girls were not Ravenclaw students.

The people Padma brought with her were her sister, Parvati, and Parvati's close friend, Lavender. Unlike Hufflepuff and Slytherin, the Ravenclaw common room allowed the entry of outsiders. However, for the most part, the young wizards of the four houses only socialized and moved within their own common room.

So, when Tom saw two Gryffindors appear here, he was slightly taken aback.

"Of course, I have time, but what business do you have?" Tom also wanted to know the purpose of these three people seeking him out.

The three people produced some charts and a stack of parchment and began to explain to Tom the reason for their visit.

It turns out that Professor Trelawney had assigned them a rather problematic task: to analyze the workings of the planets that would affect them in the coming month based on their own self-drawn star charts.

They had to predict a whole month! And they had to submit it in the first Divination class next week!

If they took it seriously, the amount of work was overwhelming. However, there was also a shortcut, which was to invent some misfortunes of their own and maybe get a good grade for the assignment.

As for the star chart they needed for the assignment, it was the one they had filled out in class under the guidance of Professor Trelawney, which was the position of the planets at the time of each young wizard's birth. The process of completing the chart was extremely tedious and boring, involving many complicated calculations.

"Do you want me to help you with your Divination assignment?" Tom furrowed his brow, as he hadn't even finished his own assignment yet.

"Of course not," Parvati shook her head upon hearing that. "What we want is for you to check our star charts to see if there are any errors. We need them as references for the subsequent assignment, and if these charts are wrong, we'll be in trouble."

Tom suddenly realized and received the star charts of the three people, starting to compare them, and indeed found some problematic details.

"Incredible, I didn't notice!" Parvati exclaimed, took the quill from the table, and quickly modified her own drawing.

"No wonder Professor Trelawney praised you as a genius," Lavender praised Tom, leaving him slightly embarrassed.

He realized that his talent for Divination class was quite good, and he quickly grasped all sorts of new knowledge. Moreover, with his powerful quill, Tom simply didn't make silly mistakes. For example, when he was drawing, he accidentally drew two Venuses, but his quill automatically corrected it.

Although Tom was outstanding, he could only review one star chart at a time. So while Parvati and Lavender sought out Tom to "correct" their star charts, Padma could only stand by and check for spelling errors in her own star chart.

Finally, Tom corrected the star charts for Parvati and Lavender. Padma impatiently placed her star chart in front of Tom and said, "Tom, I'm not sure about the position of my Uranus. Can you take a look?"

"Alright, Padma. Where is Uranus? Let me see..." After Tom spoke, he also felt that something was wrong with that sentence.

"Uranus..." he pondered over that word and realized, to his surprise, that the word "Uranus" and "your anus" sounded nearly identical.

In other words, his previous statement could also be understood as "Padma, let me see where your anus is."

Damn wordplay!

He quickly scanned the three girls around him from the corner of his eye and noticed that they all had a blush on their faces.

"I'm quite interested in Uranus as well, can you let me take a look at Uranus too, Yodel?" A cold and distant voice came from behind Tom.

Tom: !!!

"Hermione, when did you get here?"

"When you got so interested in Padma's 'Uranus'," Hermione responded irritably. As soon as she entered the common room, she saw Tom surrounded by three girls as if they were the stars orbiting the moon, chatting and laughing, even mentioning things related to "rear flowers," which infuriated Hermione.

After understanding that they were studying astronomy, Hermione was not in a good mood. Now she just wanted to drive away these annoying girls.

Tom felt cold sweat forming on his forehead and pleaded with Hermione in a supplicating voice, "You arrived at the right time, I have a bunch of Divination assignments to do, surely you can help me."

"Oh, yes, a bunch of assignments, Professor Vector didn't assign any," Hermione responded with no doubt, her attention now focused on Tom's topic. Learning that Tom had a bunch of Divination assignments to do, she became lively and enthusiastic.

Hermione didn't get along with Divination Professor Sybill Trelawney, so she had dropped that course. Now, upon hearing negative news about Divination class, she was as happy as when she heard her stocks had stopped dropping after she sold them.

"Actually, that class doesn't help you at all," Hermione asserted firmly, causing Parvati and Lavender to glare at her angrily. Both were loyal followers of Divination class, and Hermione's words irked them.

"Yodel, if you have time, we could analyze the predictions for the coming month together," Parvati and Lavender said, looking at each other and sitting directly on both sides of the table, while Padma sat across from the table.

Now Tom's table was crowded. Hermione, expressionless, grabbed a chair from the neighboring table without ceremony and sat down next to Tom.

Until recently, she didn't think there was a big issue, but now she believed it was time to assert her sovereignty.

Something without its own label will always make others think it has no owner.
