"Answer me, Matt, what happened the last time?" Devi demanded.

Matthew knew that if he told Devi the truth, she would run off and tell Jesse everything. Little did he know that Jesse has already found out that Jeremy was a werewolf.

"Devi, the last time is nothing important and none of your business," Matthew said indifferently.

"You're hiding something. And you better tell me what it is before I find out," She said authoritatively.
