Prizmatic Hope #8: Break on Through!

"Daiki and Kotaro. I've located Gabbie's current location, she's in Azure City. It's pretty far from here, so I hope you two can always stick together and not to fail this operation. Please come back here when you've saved her. We're counting on you!" said Irene before she dispatched the swordsman and the ninja to Azure City in order to save Gabbie. The two went to Azure City on Kotaro's hang glider, the Shinobi Winglider. "Hang on tight!" said Kotaro before he used his Sigil to fly his hang glider to Azure City with Daiki.

"I'm Aevis Aerios! I believe I can fly!" sung Daiki as he soared through the sky with his ninja companion. "This is not the time to joke around! We got your crush to save!" said Draco Piscis' spirit. During his flight, Daiki's mana reacted with Kotaro's Sigil, creating the Anemo Enestal in the process.

"It's been a while since I made an Enestal" said Daiki upon the Enestal's creation.

After flying south from Polaris Sanctuary, the two finally landed in Azure City. It was pretty peaceful in Azure City, ever since Krait Energies has crumbled in the hands of Alfredo and Valhalla haven't made their presence there lately. The two searched for Gabbie, until they spotted a dashing figure sporting a bunny ear-shaped scarf on her hair.

"Isn't that?! GABBIE!" said Daiki as soon he saw the figure.

He pursued the figure all by himself. To his surprise, it was Gabbie herself, but her face was filled with fear and anguish. She looked like as if she was running from someone, yet she felt a jarring pain fron within, as if something is squirming and eating her from inside. "Hang in there, Gabbie!" said Daiki as he kept pursuing the blonde martial artist in hopes to cure her from the pain she's facing.

"Stay away from me!" said Gabbie as she shoved Daiki away.

"She's acting weird, Kotaro. What should we do?" said Daiki. Kotaro then used Earth-elemental ninjutsu to restrain Gabbie by trapping her using rocks. Whilst Gabbie is restrained, the swordsman saw that her pendant is glowing, reacting to the mysterious creature that has infected Gabbie. He tried to fuse Draco Piscis' soul with his Anemo Enestal. "Well, here goes nothing. Hopefully this'll cure her" said Daiki before he loaded his Dragunbuster with the Enestal and fired at the writhing girl.

"Huh? What's happening?" said Gabbie as she heard a roar from the pendant as Daiki fired at it with his new Enestal. Using Draco Piscis' soul and his alchemy skills, he freed Gabbie from the mysterious creature that's been infecting her. She suddenly coughed out a disgusting-looking worm-like creature with pincer-like jaws. It writhed and died upon reacting to Gabbie's pendant. Aurora Angelus and Draco Piscis' souls cleansed her body and killed the parasitic Deviant that Freia put into her when she was kidnapped by her days ago.

"It was a miracle.. you and Aurora saved me! No wonder my Muh-mah trusted me to keep this pendant on my neck. This pendant contains the soul of my clan's ancestor, Aurora Angelus. She may have died eons ago, but this thing acted as her vessel after her death. That is why she kept me safe from everything, even if I was kidnapped by Valhalla twice, back then and right now" said Gabbie.

"And to you, you're my hero. The moment you fired that dragon's soul from that crystal thing you created from my pendant's aura cleansed me from within. When Aurora's soul resonated with your guardian's soul, the Deviant was expulsed from my body and it died. I almost ended up becoming one" she continued as she felt relief after she was saved by Daiki and Kotaro.

"Thanks.." said Daiki as he blushed slighty. "Right now we must go back to Polaris. Your sis Amy is looking for you!" He continued. Just before the trio could go home, a woman appeared before them. "You'd think I would let you brats escape easily, huh?! You there! You killed Officer MacLeod, didn't you?" said the woman as she set her eyes on Gabbie.

"I did, because he kidnapped me and my sister!" said Gabbie with a furious look in her eyes. She clenched her fists and prepared to fight her mysterious opponent. "Don't forget us, we'll help you fight this bastard as well" said Daiki as he and Kotaro brandished their swords.

"Well, I haven't introduced myself to you jerks, right? I'm Reiko Matsui, Valhalla Consortium's new Commandant Officer and Secretary. Lord Freia told me that you're a fugitive to the Consortium. She almost had you in her grasps, but no. You had to slip away from her, even after she almost turned you into her own pawn. A perfect killing machine against those filthy Esper scums. Not only that, you also thwarted my plan before. I almost had you too, but the deaths of my Deviant allies shattered my hopes of turning you into a fine henchwoman. This time, I'm taking care of you personally!" said Reiko. She then snapped her finger to call a few of Valhalla's agents in to assist her.

"We got company!" said Daiki. "Don't worry, we can take 'em all down together!" answered Gabbie. Her face was filled with determination as she entered her fighting stance with her two friends as Daiki and Kotaro brandished their swords.

Daiki and Kotaro fought against the numerous Valhalla Agents. The ninja remembered that he fought them before when he and Lucy saved Gabbie in the same city weeks ago. They were part-human part-mechanical soldiers that served as Valhalla's footsoldiers. One by one, the Agents fell to the hands of the swordsman and the ninja using their knowledge of alchemy and ninjutsu. Meanwhile, Gabbie went toe-to-toe with Reiko, who's still intent in taking the Canadian girl for her boss Freia.

"You're a clever and strong one, no wonder Lord Freia wanted you so badly" said Reiko as she countered Gabbie's swift kicks and punches. "Shut up, I'm already Dai-kun's beloved one! Your so-called lord ain't gonna have a piece of me, even if I have to risk my own life!" answered Gabbie as her face was filled with fury. She never knew that Reiko was a capable fighter like her. Unlike Gabbie, Reiko has a knowledge in Karate and Jiu Jitsu. She's also an adept grappler, which could mean trouble for someone like Gabbie who mostly excels in strikes.

Gabbie and Reiko are locked in an intense fight between each other. Both girls were skilled martial artists, though Reiko was a mere human compared to Gabbie, who was an Esper and a Lumian at the same time. Despite her speed, Reiko managed to grapple the blonde Canadian girl down and held her with a rear naked choke. Gabbie groaned Reiko managed to overpower her. She suddenly remembered something. A friend of hers named Cassie Elliot once used the same hold when she was sparring with her. Cassie also happened to be a skilled Jiu Jitsu practitioner, who came from a town not far from Toronto. She was also a friend and a rival of her sister, Amy.

"You're a disgrace to my pal!" said Gabbie before she shoved her knee into Reiko's gut. She couldn't believe that the Valhalla Commandant Officer and Secretary would use the same move as her friend's. While Gabbie was still struggling against Reiko, Daiki suddenly awakened a new power within him. Ever since she released Draco Piscis' soul from within him to save Gabbie, the dragon's soul suddenly possessed him back, turning him into his puppet.

"Rampage, rampage, rampage, turn up! Get up!" said Draco Piscis from within Daiki's heart. "Cut through the darkness with your flashing claws of justice!" continued the dragon's soul as Daiki became feral, as a result of the possession. He then roared like a dinosaur and rampaged through the Valhalla Agents.

He thrashed his arms like a ravenous dinosaur, crushing every single Valhalla Agent he sees. He could not feel his humanity, yet he felt like as if he's a dragon. He also gained the ability to breath ice and water, washing and freezing the half-mechanical soldiers of Valhalla before smashing them into bits. Daiki then manifested a dragon's tail using Water-elemental mana. He then thrashed his tail towards a Valhalla's APC, killing all of the Agents inside and those who got crushed by the vehicle.

"He's not a human! He's a dinosaur! A monster!" said one of the Agents. The troops scurried in fear, but they were decimated by the possessed Daiki. Afterwards, the dragon deity's soul left Daiki's heart after he let out a loud roar in triumph and the swordsman felt very exhausted, yet he did not fall unconscious. "What happened?" he asked. "Oh…. I had to borrow your body for a while. That was very fun, if I must say. I never rampaged like this again in many years! I felt like me again, a strong and stalwart Dragon Deity of Afilia!" said Draco Piscis' soul.

"Did you just turned into a dinosaur?!" said Kotaro in shock upon seeing what happened to Daiki. He laughed upon hearing Kotaro's question. "That reminds me, I need to help Gabbie!" said Daiki before he rushed to assist his beloved one.

He saw Gabbie struggling against Reiko and her grappling moves. Out of anger, Daiki fired a shot from his Dragunbuster on Reiko's back, which allowed Gabbie to shove the Valhalla officer out. "Very clever, but it wouldn't be fair if-" said Reiko before her speech was interrupted by Gabbie's signature move, a devastating Enzuigiri named after a cliff in her hometown, Scarborough Bluffs. Reiko was flung after the Canadian martial artist hits her with her signature move. She tried to get up, but she then fell limp and finally met her demise. Valhalla has lost both of their commandant officers and their secretary. Out of her surprise, the pendant glowed and resonated with her. "I will erase any traces of this fight so no one knows that Valhalla has broken into this peaceful city" said Aurora Angelus' soul from within the pendant. A flash of light disintegrated Reiko's motionless body and the remains of the Valhalla Agents.

"Whoa, what just happened?" said Gabbie in amazement. She never knew her pendant could do such things with Aurora Angelus' soul residing inside it, treating the pendant as her vessel. "Well, we'd better head back to Polaris-" said Daiki before a phone ring interrupted his speech. "Gabbers?! Is that you?! We need your help! We're under attack by-" said a friend of Gabbie on her phone before her phone's signal was lost. She looked at the sky and saw a mass of dark cloud on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. Canada was shrouded by thick, dark cloud and a tower-like structure rose from beneath the sea.

"Guys, we can't go back home yet. We need to save my homeland. My family and my friends are there, and I can't just leave them be" said Gabbie. "Looks like we'll be fighting a huge war, a war to end this chaos once and for all!" said Draco Piscis' soul. The three gathered as they were about to head to Canada to save Gabbie's hometown, friends and family from their impending doom and destruction.

"It can't be!" said Marika as she looked upon the Lazuline HQ's balcony. She saw the dark clouds above Canada and the towering structure that rose up from the sea. "The Ephemeral Sky Tower.. someone must've unleashed It from its eons-long slumber! According to Mom's research logs, that tower not only served as Aurora Angelus' final resting place, but also where she sealed the souls of the Deviants she defeated! And they were not just any Deviants, they're highly-dangerous Primeval Deviants! Oh dear, we're doomed!" continued Marika in fear. She was not only worried about her missing younger brother, but also the fate of the world.
