Revenge

(Still Necromancer's POV)

He left the town after he buried Lisa and her parents as he had nothing left in the town for him. He wandered in the forest for days, finding nothing to eat or drink and as he was about to die, he felt something calling at him. He struggled till he got into a cave. It had bones all around and it was clear it had called other people but they died in the process. He continued walking in and then he saw a red and black orb in a pile of bones. That was what was calling him, as he got closer, he felt his life force being drained out of him but he struggled.

"I cannot die yet. Not till I kill those bastards in the town." It was like the orb heard his train of thought, it settled down and this time, it was feeding him energy instead of taking it.

Julio understood the orb, it desired chaos and destruction and Julio was going to feed that desire for it.

Julio was more than happy to concur. He stayed within the cave for a year and when he finally left he was at intermediate blue rank. The strongest person in the town was just at yellow rank so it was going to be easy to kill them all.

He went back into the town. People were surprised as they thought he would already be dead so they just threw him to the back of their minds. Seeing him now was odd so they shouted at him to leave and get out of their town that he was no longer welcome here. Some people even threw rocks at him. Julio just snared and a red miasma started to spread out of his body. Anybody it touched fell to the ground and their skin started to blacken. People begged but Julio did not listen, he walked around the town till everyone was dead and then as he was leaving, they all began to rise to follow him. At first, Julio was baffled but then he began cackling like a madman "You all hated me and now you are doomed to follow me. HAHAHA, what an unfair world indeed"

Then he walked into the forest and back into the cave which he used as a base. Sometimes adventurers will pass the town and see the oddity of it, they will choose to investigate leading them to the cave where they are killed by Julio and turned into his loyal subjects. It had been like that for nine years.

Now Julio stared at the one who would kill him, a being that should have been weaker than him but still triumphed against him.

"Before I kill you, I want to ask about the soul of the woman that has been crying around you," Licht said clearly annoyed at the woman's crying.

Julio, the necromancer paused for a moment and stared at Licht "What woman?"

"You can see me?" The soul woman asked Licht

"Yes, I can. Now who are you and why do you keep crying?" Licht said.

By now, Midas and Daren were back in the hall with Licht and were staring at the necromancer on the floor while Midas occasionally glimpsed at the soul of the woman.

"My name is Lisa. I was Julio's friend…" She went on and told the story of Julio and what happened to him and how he got here but he could never see her as he did not have the soul attribute.

Licht and Midas listened to the soul and then told Julio " Well she said her name is Lisa and she was your friend. She said she watched you cry and bury her and her parents. She also said to let you know she did not regret ever telling the town she was your friend"

Julio just stared blankly and tears began dropping from his eyes "Lisa, I am sorry. It's because I wasn't strong enough so I could not protect you"

Lisa stared at him with a sad look but before she could say anything Licht spoke.

"Well, time to die" Licht did not care and swiftly beheaded the necromancer. Lisa was dumbstruck but before she could say anything, she saw the soul of the necromancer leave his body, staring at her.

Both souls went for a hug but before they could celebrate, Midas sucked both of them into his soul space and started to slowly absorb them. Since the necromancer was finally by Lisa's side, he did not care or fight back. He just let what wanted to happen happen. After a couple of minutes, they were both integrated into Midas who also managed to level up from intermediate blue all the way to basic green rank.

It seemed like the soul of a late red rank being had a lot of power still stored in it. There was still a lot because the soul had to come down to intermediate green rank so he shared the rest of the power with his other soul summons and even his new soul summon, Lisa.

The lowest soul was now at intermediate blue rank, Lisa entered basic green rank. This was due to the fact that she had been around Julio for nine years so residual energy kept entering her and she was a basic blue rank soul when she was absorbed. Midas left the souls in as he watched his master examine the orb on the staff. The orb was tyrannical at first but after Licht use this aura on the orb it cooled down as if it had found a partner.

As he waited for his master to be done, Midas decided to summon Wrath, his manticore, Julio and Lisa. Julio was still charcoal-skinned with red veins running all through his body. His fangs were curved inwards and his fingers were curved like claws while Lisa had the green soul color with a red streak running around her body. She had tiny fangs with a seductive body like she had finally matured as she was absorbed by Midas. Wrath and the manticore were currently at the basic green rank, same as the Midas. Midas had chosen to summon his strongest soul summons. Wrath and the manticore stared at Julio and Lisa as they knew he was a former enemy now he was going to be an ally. Lisa and Julio also stared at the strange red tiger woman and the three-meter chimeric beast oddly.

"As you can see, you are now here to serve me and protect me. Since you both are now among my strongest summons. You shall both be my new demon generals."
