The attack begins

"So far, it seems that there are none. The only people here that need saving are the slaves." Regallas said as he looked around

"Master, what are we going to do?" Midas asked

"We are going to spread a rumor" Licht smiled.

They were all confused but they knew Licht had a plan.

Two days later, there was a rumor that was spreading around the town

"Did you hear about what's going to happen soon?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Apparently, a bigshot was passing through the town on his way to the Orc kingdom and he found the town distasteful. So he got the Empire of light to donate some soldiers for his cause. Now soldiers are en route to the town right now"

"That is why the soldiers and guards of the city are mobilizing. Every person who is capable of fighting is going to be in battle."

"The emperor sure is getting old. Doesn't he know we have people in this town capable of squaring off against those heroes of old"

"Well, I guess I have to fight in the battle because this town is perfect for me. HAHAHA. Fuck the empire"

Everyone in the bar laughed and replied "Fuck the empire"

Meanwhile, in the city hall, five people gathered.

"Are the rumors actually true?" A short dark man asked

"I do not know but I have already made battle preparations for the town."A tall, chubby lady said.

"That is the best thing. Hopefully, we would not have to come out before time. Me coming out to face that elf would have made some people suspicious about my origin and how I have such strength." An old man replied

"Regardless, we would be fine. I actually look forward to a battle as it has been a while since I have stretched these limbs." A burly man spoke loudly

"It doesn't matter. There are already rumors about powerhouses in this city anyways. Our master has given us enough strength. We do not need to fear anything now" A tall slender man said. They all nodded at what he said

Licht and the others were currently in a room as they planned.

"I think the people of the town have mobilized and they are ready for an attack" Solana spoke

"Yes, it is about time for the attack to take place" Regallas replied her

"We would start the attack tomorrow. Remember during the attack, Regallas you are to save the slaves in the slave market" Licht said

Regallas nodded "Master, when are you going to reveal yourself"

"You'd just have to find out" Licht smiled.

"By this time tomorrow, blood shall flow"Midas said as he was seated with Daren standing behind him.

The next day came and the town was tense. On the town wall stood over a hundred people with bows, spears, giant crossbows, and even casters stood ready.

In front of the wall were thousands of enforcers and casters in different outfits and armor. Inside the city, there were also several hundreds of people around to join the battle. They would not have come together normally but right now, they loved their lawless domain so they wanted to fight to keep it that way.

Some of them had battle-lust in their eyes, some of them were bored, no one was shivering in fear as they had seen death and killed people.

"Get ready. People are heading in this direction" Someone yelled. Everyone took battle positions as they stared forward. The atmosphere was very tense.

From the distance, they saw a strange sight. A teenage boy with two girls in maid outfits walking slowly toward them.

"False alarm. It's just a couple of foolish children. Someone should take care of them. Next time, they wouldn't wander" A really big bearded man yelled

Before anyone could even run out to attack, wind started to rustle all around the teenage boy, and then green figures started to form around him. It started from two then they increased to four and then sixteen. The people of the city all watched and in a matter of seconds, the green figures had increased exponentially to over a hundred and still steadily increasing. It finally stopped at about a thousand.

They were stunned but they still weren't fearful as they still had a huge numbers advantage but what they did not know was that the lowest summon in Midas's soul space was now of the late blue rank while the lowest person of the city was yellow rank and they were what made up most of the makeshift army. There were still about a hundred blue ranks and a few tens of green rank. These were people that had pillaged, killed, and robbed so they were definitely experienced.

The yellow-ranked "soldiers" ran forward to start the attack. And that commenced the bloodbath.

As they ran forward, Midas's summons also ran forward. Among the green figures were beast-like creatures. They practically vanished in the eyes of the yellow ranks and pandemonium burst in their midst. Beasts tearing apart the people, souls slashing men.

It was like an egg being thrown at a boulder. The yellow-ranked people could not hold their own against the souls and though they still had the number advantage, they were being slaughtered like animals. As they died Midas used their souls to strengthen the ones in battle and the others within him.

He decided to summon the others. Wrath, Envy, Lust, and the manticore were summoned and they jumped forward as they felt strengthened with the new influx of soul strength. Midas broke through to late green rank while Wrath, Envy, Lust, and the manticore entered intermediate green rank.

They all jumped into action, Wrath slashed, burned, and tore apart people, Envy went in their midst, strangling, drowning and blasting people away, Lust sped through the battlefield, decapitating and dissecting them in a flash while the manticore basically mauled on them. The others saw this and were mortified but quickly decided to jump into battle to reduce the amount of death. Currently, over half the yellow rank were dead, and more were still dropping like flies.

Midas stared at the incoming people and he said "Solana, Luna. Battle forms. We are going"
