The two ladies sat in the carriage, discussing and bonding.
Over the days, they had become familiar with each other and Scarlet no longer felt stiff around Tenebrea. Tenebrea also realized the flame in Scarlet was shockingly called the Crimson Cinder. The rumor going around was that there was a great battle that occurred in the sky, shaking the lands and causing tsunamis and earthquakes. One of the beings participating in the battle took fire from the sun but before they could use it to attack, it was sent flying out of his hands, its whereabouts unknown. That was the legend of the Crimson Cinder, but what most people did not know was that the battle was between the creator of the world and Licht, together with Tenebrea.
The Crimson Cinder, known to be a fire that burns all things, purifies all evil and corrupts all good did not harm its environment but instead thrived till it found a suitable host several thousand years later.
They continued onwards in the carriage, and because Tenebrea didn't have experience with the Crimson cinder, she only taught Scarlet how to utilize the flame attribute properly.
"Fire is flexible. It is life giving and at the same time, very destructive. Your will is what shapes your flame. You need concentration and focus in spite of distractions" Tenebrea spoke as red flames formed on her hands, transforming to a dancing maiden and then a tiger jumping through a hoop while on her second palm, blood energy formed into several weapons like daggers, bolts and arrows.
Scarlet watched in awe and then tried to imitate Tenebrea, a fist sized fire ball hovered above her palm, she stared at it with so much focus and it slowly began to form into an arrow head but before it could completely change, Tenebrea threw a tiny fire ball at her
"Catch"
Scarlet got distracted and the arrow head changed back into a normal fist sized fire ball while she also managed to catch the fireball that Tenebrea tossed at her.
"You need to be able to multitask. Split your consciousness into several parts. That will be our first lesson. You will learn how to split your consciousness into two parts first and then from there we'd move up" Tenebrea spoke like a true master with extensive experience.
The carriage ride continued and two days later, Scarlet sat in a meditative position with her two hands outstretched, and hovering above her palms were two red crimson balls of fire constantly changing shapes with blood energy rotating around it. Tenebrea sat in front of her with a look of approval on her face.
"Having the Conqueror's potential really is a cheat on it's own. She managed to learn how to split consciousness in just 2 days "
Scarlet withdrew the flames and blood energy around her and said "Master, I think I've gotten the hang of it"
The carriage stopped all of a sudden, causing Scarlet to jolt back and forth.
"My Queen, there is a strange man blocking the way. Rest easy, I'll deal with him" The coach driver said, as he jumped down from the carriage with his sword drawn.
Tenebrea used her energy to scan the front of the carriage and then a bitter smile appeared on her face "That's more like it."
A dark skinned man with pointy ears stands in front of the carriage. The energy he emitted clearly stated that he was at the peak red rank and from Tenebrea's point of view, a red halo circled him, showcasing his conqueror's potential.
"I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky but meeting two indivivuals with the conquerors' potential in one week is clearly something" Tenebrea just shook her head while still keeping her attention on the dark elf in front of her.
The coach driver was also in the peak red rank but since the dark elf had the conquerors' potential, he was beaten and killed rather quickly.
"Come out of the carriage, drop all your belongings and surrender your lives to me" The dark elf said in the direction of the carriage as he slowly walked towards them.
"Master, get ready. I'll try to distract him while you escape. We just got you back, we can't lose you again" Scarlet said as she took out her bow and nocked an arrrow.
"Silly girl, don't worry. Ana will take care of him." As soon as Tenebrea said that, a spear made of blood fell from the sky and stabbed towards the dark elf who barely managed to dodge.
His facial expression was now one of fear and he tried to escape.
"Where do you think you're going?" He heard a whisper and saw a horde of roses formed together to make a beautiful middle aged woman.
She stretched her hands and grabbed the elf by his neck. He tried slashing, while attempting to escape but her vice-like grip on his neck didn't budge. She dragged the elf to the carriage and bowed.
"My queen, what should I do with him?"
"Well, he killed my coachman, so I'll try to hypnotize him as a replacement. I doubt might work though. If it doesn't, just kill him"
Tenebrea raised up the curtains in the carriage as she stared at the elf.
Tenebrea had tried to mind control several individuals with conquerors' potential in the past but they were immune to it, so she did not expect it to work but she still wanted to attempt it just in case.
As expected, it did not work so the dark elf was killed. The red glow on his body floated above and then sped off into the air. Tenebrea always wondered where they went but never found out. She was at least pleased to find out that she had a conquerors' potential that was under her.
Since the coachman was dead, Tenebrea made Ana take over as punishment because she could have saved the coachman but chose not to act till the last moment.
