Odd Phenomena

Two beings of light and darkness stared at Licht and Tenebrea and smiled in joy at seeing them.

Licht and Tenebrea were still in their trance, so they did not feel the gazes upon them. Their trance lasted for a few minutes until they descended back to the ground. The two beings that were staring at them were gone, like they had never appeared.

Licht and Tenebrea both got up together after their rank increase. They still looked the same except for the fact that Licht seemed more glamorous, like he was shining, while Tenebrea's aura seemed more closed off, like anything that got too close to her would be sucked in or even destroyed.

They both withdrew the aura they were releasing and walked towards their disciples with smiles.

"I feel good. Far stronger than I did before." Tenebrea stretched her bones, feeling relaxed.

"Yes, it definitely feels great." Lightning passed across Licht's hand.

Author's note: The reason why Licht uses Lightning a whole lot more than he uses the other elements is because Lightning is his natural affinity, just like Tenebrea is more attuned to the blood affinity.

They were now both at the peak of gold rank, and they felt stronger than ever. The cocoon receded, and they stood tall.

"Now that Tenebrea and I are all leveled up, Is it time for a duel?" Licht smiled

"Not yet, Master. I see an opportunity here, and I feel I should take it," Regallas said.

Licht laughed, knowing exactly what Regallas meant.

"Before we begin the duel, I'd like it if you guys went all out with your weapons. I see some of the weapons you have are a bit old-fashioned. They work, but they are old-fashioned. I am a blacksmith, and I want to forge new weapons for all of you. So go all out; Master will heal you if there are any serious injuries."

Licht had a wry smile as Regallas made it seem like he could resurrect them even if they died mid-battle, but regardless, Licht nodded, signifying he would heal their injuries.

They all moved to an arena that was almost the same size as a coliseum. This was the Queen's private battle arena. Sloane had her mouth opened wide because of the grandeur of the arena. It was magnificent, and Sloane felt if it were made with gold bricks, it would not look out of place.

"I am sure the demons have an arena as grandiose as this; am I right, Licht?" Tenebrea smiled at Licht.

"It is not as grandiose, but it is more menacing, built with the skulls and bones of their enemies." Licht laughed in response. They took their seats in the viewing booth with Gayatri, Vlad, Ana, Fenrir, and Maverick, while the others went to the arena below. Gayatri sat in between Licht and Tenebrea, swinging her legs from the high seat.

Julius immediately took center stage, ready to call out Midas, but Sloane did not give him the time of day. She stood before him in a challenging position.

"Go back, shortie. I don't want to make you cry," Julius said condescendingly.

"Shortie? Now you've done it." A vein popped out on Sloane's forehead. She knew she was small and hated being called short more than anything.

She wielded her axe and bolted in the direction of Julius. She had made herself weightless, so her speed had increased once again. Julius saw her coming, so he used his hammer to block her.

Crackkk

The hammer broke into pieces as the blunt side of Goliath collided against it. Julius was sent skidding backwards, not expecting the absurd strength within this midget's body.

His eyeballs almost rolled out of his head as he stared wide-eyed. Sloane had a victorious smile. "Don't worry. It is not over yet."

Julius knew if he waited around, he'd definitely be pummeled to a pulp, so he chose to take the initiative.

Booomm

Julius signature sonic boom rang out, and he was gone. That was all Sloane heard, and then she felt a punch connect with her abdomen. She spat air as she was sent flying up in the air. Julius did not choose to wait and immediately followed after her. He was in the air, a bit above Sloane, with an axe kick.

SLAM

The axe kick sent her flying to the ground, creating a crater. Julius landed quite heavily and was ready to attack again when he felt he could not move.

Sloane walked out of the crater slowly. She was now pissed and had increased the gravity of the entire arena by tenfold. It was quite surprising that Julius could still stand and was not kneeling. He gritted his teeth as he took one step. Every step he took created little craters around him as he was fighting the force of gravity. He could no longer use his insane speed.

Meanwhile, Sloane walked leisurely towards Julius, and when she finally arrived in front of him, she smiled and increased the gravity by another ten. This time the ground around Julius went so deep that it looked like he was embedded in it and he could no longer move.

"Look who's shorter than me now." Sloane smiled with her tongue sticking out. Deep inside, she was impressed and scared as Julius still stood. Blood poured from his mouth, ears, and eyes, but he stayed standing.

Julius yelled, and he went into his berserk form. His hair stood out, and his eyes turned red. There was still pressure on him, but now he could move—not as fast as he could move before, but this was still something.

The ground began to crack, and it felt like the whole arena was undergoing an earthquake. Everyone looked at Julius because they knew this phenomenon was coming from him, but they did not know how he was doing it.

"He is channeling his vibration throughout the entire arena. The ground can no longer hold under such intense gravity, and now with the shaking, it is causing the earth to split apart." Tenebrea said

Sloane wobbled as the ground threatened to throw her off balance, and with that little distraction, Julius punched at Sloane. Sending vibrations through her body, causing some of her organs to rupture. Orcs and Barbarians were similar; that is, they were battle races. They lived for battle and died in battle. Injuries were of little consequence to them.

Sloane immediately counterattacked with her axe once again. Julius tried to block, but that was futile. The blunt side connected with his arms that had been thrown up for a block, and they broke through it like tofu. Julius' arms flapped by his side like they were noodles. Julius yelled and kicked Sloane's knee, vibrating and shattering the knee cap.

The scary thing is that despite everything, both of them had a crazed look of excitement.

"I don't know if it is because they are our disciples or because they are a race bred for war. Either way, it is nostalgic" Licht narrowed his eyes, seeing how hurt they both were.

As Sloane's axe came down and Julius' kick was about to connect with her head, Licht appeared before them both, and their attacks stopped.

"That's enough." Licht touched them both, and golden lights surrounded them both. Their limbs and organs healed, and they felt brand new. The coliseum also started to rejoin and revert back to its old form.

"This is far easier now." Licht looked at the golden energy. He was using one of his order-related powers that would have drained him before- Order: Revert.

Sloane placed her axe back, and she walked towards Julius. Julius thought this midget was about to start a fight again, but instead she looked up at him and said

"You aren't bad, barbarian, but you still haven't reached the level of my elder brother. Your speed is the fastest I have ever experienced, but I am sure he can contend with you." She punched his arm and walked away.

"Hey Sloane, we should spar again." Julius still felt he could face Midas, but he was not going to push his luck. He wanted to train with Sloane because of her insane strength, and he felt he had a couple things he could learn from her.

"Sure," Sloane said, turning around with a big smile and nodding.
