What started as a simple night-time robbery turned into an experience he'll never forget. Dezhong Prince, a cunning teenager,, spent the last day of an old year robbing a simple store with his friends until he took a detour that changed his life.

While moving through, he's met with a beast that torments him throughout the whole night until he receives this:

Knowing he isn't the only one with the beast system, Dezhong must now grow stronger for when he encounters the others. However, he's also faced with another quest, [Discover the Shadow King.]

"OUR NEXT ROUND, WE HAVE ANOTHER NEWBIE AGAINST SOMEONE WHO ISN'T NEW TO BEING IN THE THIRD POSITION. A DEZHONG PRINCE?... UP AGAINST RAY GRAYSON."

Those who were familiar with the name Prince gasped in shock once they heard the name Dezhong Prince announced. Just like the commentator, everyone watched with eagerness while waiting for the son of the currently unconscious Chief of Police to show up.

The crowd murmured and mumbled amongst each other and started wondering, "What the heck was the son of Desper's Chief of Police doing in a place like this?"

Dezhong, who was still in the waiting room, heard a couple of those his age murmur behind his back, thinking he wasn't able to hear them. Like everyone else attending, those behind Dezhong were surprised to see a boy like him attending an event like this. Of course, there was a good number of those who had no idea who Dezhong or Chief Prince were.
