"Uncommon Chest? Did you also get one Forset?"

"Yea, that and some exp."

"I'll just open it and find out what it is."

Vi looked at the wooden chest in front of him that had green metal plating covering it. It had an air of mysticalness hovering around it making him gulp as he moved his hands under the lid of the chest to open it.

As he lifted the heavy lid off of the chest a bright green light blinded him causing him to cover his eyes with his hands, waiting for the light to fade away through the gaps between his fingers.

As the light disappeared to a tolerable level, he moved his hands off of his eyes, allowing him to see what the chest left for him. Inside the chest was a pair of white, boney-looking boots. There were gaps in between each bone that made up the boot, with a smooth bottom bone to support his feet.

He dug his hands inside of the chest and picked up the two bone boots to look at their stats.

'A set?! That sounds amazing... I'll have to grind this dungeon more now won't I..."

Vi sighed while thinking of how his future days would be filled with skeletons. He looked into the chest and found one last item, this one got him extremely happy. It was a white, boney scythe. From top to bottom, the scythe was made out of only bone. The handle had a grippy service on it so he could hold it easier. The blade had rib bones surrounding it with a skull where the handle and the blade met, giving it a very cool appearance.

He picked it up gently, as though it was his family's 1000-year-old heirloom a took a look at the stats of the weapon.

'A new weapon! And it gets me the first set bonus! This is some great loot, the only thing left is to use my status points.'

He opened up his status menu and looked at it for a couple of minutes before quickly using all of his remaining status points.

He didn't do much differently from the other times he allocated his status points, except now he didn't put any points into arcane. Now that he knew he would have no future in magic, there was no point to put more status points into magic related stats.

He exited out of his many opened tabs and looked into the chest, hopeful for more equipment, only to find nothing else. He gave out a disappointed sigh, before turning around to look at Forset. She had also finished going through her chest. Vi saw she had a bone pair of gloves and bone helmet on, he wasn't the only one who had an upgrade in strength.

Just as he was going to approach Forset, the ground around them began to shake making him alert because of what happened every other time the ground shook. He was only able to calm down when he recalled the notification from before that told him he would be kicked out of the dungeon after 1 minute.

Vi let the world take him and in a blink, he was back in the village, only something was different. The fire was gone and there was a calm, yet chilly air going through the now night sky.

All of a sudden as he was observing his surroundings a blast of wind hit him, and a group of people surrounded both him and Forset.

The person who seemed like the leader had short blue hair, glasses, and a skinny physique.

The leader stared at the both of them before his eyes rested on Vi and he opened his mouth, "Chosen one that goes by the name of Vi! You are hereby under arrest for the crime of killing a village guard. Chosen one that goes by the name of Forset! You are also under arrest for the crime of assisting a criminal. You will both allow us to peacefully arrest you and take you back to Ovul Town where you will be prosecuted or suffer the consequences of your actions."

Vi didn't understand exactly what was happening, but he did know he had to act. He leaped toward the leader of the group and slashed at him with incredible speed and strength he didn't have before the increase to his stats. Just as he was able to foresee the death of the man in front of him, the leader made a nimble movement, dodging the attack. As Vi was in mid-swing the leader began casting a spell and in the next instance, Vi felt like he was missing something.

He landed and touched his belly, but nothing was there. He looked down and saw a giant hole where his chest used to be causing him fall over. The last thing he did before falling asleep was put everything he could into his inventory, so no one could take his stuff.

Forset looked at Vi's body flop on the ground and understood what was happening, she knew there was nothing she could do about this. All she did was follow Vi's example and put all her equipment in her inventory before feeling extremely sleepy all of a sudden and falling the ground, asleep.

"That was the last of them, all the others have been captured. Let's go back to Ovul Town and report our mission's success to the master."

The leader disappeared and everyone else did a moment later, including Vi and Forset.

All that was left was a village in ruins with a giant leaf maze in the middle of it. The cold, dead atmosphere was an extreme difference compared this morning. The streets were lively, filled with the laughter of children and the sound of goods being sold. Now the only sound you could hear was the wind as it blew through the dead village, dragging the souls of the dead with it.

Celtic Village was no more.
