Chapter 201

After a difficult creative block, I finally got back to writing the chapters of this story. We're finally starting the Baki arc, which will encompass some very crucial events. It will either be the penultimate arc or the last, depending on whether I change my mind halfway through or not.

It was common knowledge that the first hominids dated back 3 million years. While primates were more than 50 million years old, they could not be considered hominids due to their lack of kinship.

Primates must have had some prehistoric ancestors, but there was not enough information to declare anything.

Could primates have shared space with the most powerful carnivores on earth, the dinosaurs?

Maybe.

The truth is that fossils of the first primates date back to a few thousand years after the meteor that wiped out most of life on Earth. Technically, primates should have had older relatives, who theoretically would have coexisted directly with the dinosaurs.

Many researchers have dedicated themselves to delving deeper into the subject, after all, primates living during the Cretaceous period would completely change humanity's view of human evolution.

And after many years, it was finally discovered that the first "primates" must have lived at least 70 million years ago, shortly before the dinosaurs were wiped out.

Although this species is too different from the primates of 50 million years ago, they were the ones who started this species.

As a result, it was quite clear that the species known today as "humans", or even their earliest ancestors, could never have shared the ground with the great predators of prehistory.

At least, that's what was believed until recently...

When a world-shattering discovery came to light.

A prehistoric man, brought back to life, who researchers say used to prey on dinosaurs with his bare hands.

It was hard to believe, but it was undeniably true.

Named by the researchers, he was the wildest man ever to set foot on this earth.

Pickle, the primitive man.

"Man from the Jurassic era, wouldn't that be a hoax?"

"No, they have lots of tests and documents to prove it!"

In the living room of his newly purchased apartment, Yuji's eyes moved away from the documents in his hands, his attention turning to the television where the news was being broadcast.

After returning to Japan, he kept busy with his own business, but after finding out about some secret research from some of his underworld contacts, he quickly got his hands on some secret government documents.

It was quite surprising to discover that they had brought a prehistoric human back to life.

Yuji had a vague memory of this from his past life, but since being transmigrated, his meta-knowledge has become more vague over time.

Pickle was the name of this new discovery, a rather funny name, come to think of it.

A pickle that has been preserved for thousands of years.

As a fighter, it was normal for him to want to prove it, not in the literal sense.

After Korea, he was very tempted to meet Pickle in person, and he knew that Ohma, Raian and most of the fighters in the tournament must have been feeling the same way.

After all, who wouldn't want to test themselves against the man who preys on dinosaurs with his bare hands?

Yuji didn't take his eyes off the news, not even when the sound of his apartment door opening reached his ears.

"Oh, here he comes!"

Escorted by a team of soldiers, Pickle, with his exaggerated size, was bigger than any human around him. His eyes, sharp like a predator's, watched the crowd of people with curiosity.

His huge, sharp nails stood out, along with his long black hair.

Yuji, who seemed completely mesmerized by the sight, felt sweat trickle down his face, his throat drying up as he swallowed.

This was a strong man, stronger than anything he had ever faced before. He didn't need the system to know that.

Feeling his fingers tremble, Yuji gave a nervous smile.

A question came to his mind.

'Can I beat this monster?

.

"Holy shit."

Yuji choked, his eyes widening in complete disbelief at the sight of that man's statistics.

"Yuji!"

But while he was concentrating, he didn't notice when two arms emerged from behind him, embracing him.

Surprised by the sudden presence, he turned to see Karura with a huge smile on her lips.

"Karura..." Returning a small smile, he pulled the girl into a kiss, which she reciprocated. "Where are the others?"

After a few months together, most of the shame between him and the other girls had disappeared. The girls had learned to appreciate each other's presence, while Yuji had let go of his prejudice against this kind of relationship.

"Senju and Elena are in exam week, so they said they'll study together."

Yuji nodded, his eyes returning to the news as Karura sat down next to him.

"Oh, is that that dinosaur man?" Karura observed with a curious glint.

"Yes, that's him." Yuji simply replied.

But while the girl seemed curious, her eyes quickly turned serious when something seemed to come to her.

"He's strong." And she declared, Yuji nodding with a small nervous smile.

"I think 'strong' is too simple for him... He's much more than that."

With the two of them watching the screen in a mesmerized way, they were surprised when a reporter walked past the group of soldiers, standing in front of Pickle, who stared at her in fascination.

"Uh?"

But contrary to what everyone might have expected, Pickle grabbed her face, knocking her to the ground and ripping off her clothes immediately.

'I see... He's a beast, in his view, doing that shouldn't be a big deal. Yuji watched in disgust, his eyes narrowing as he crossed his arms.

Karura, next to him, didn't change expression, her eyes returning to Yuji for a moment before returning to the television.

When that act was over, Pickle stood up, without a single bruise on his body, even after the soldiers had attacked him incessantly in an attempt to save the reporter.

And after that, surprising everyone in the place, Pickle just lay down on the floor and went to sleep.

Certainly a truly wild man.

"..."

"I want to find this monster."
