Unexpected Guest

"Both demon jabel and makia had met me in the forest, they were doing some interesting stuff and as a rune master it piqued my interest thus I offered them my help, after receiving my help demon jabel tried to annex me into his demon princess faction but I refused because I despise demon the most in this world, don't take offense if you are a demon."

"No need to worry, I am human and I am the same as you." Silent reaper said with deep dark expression on his face.

"That is good then." Merlin continued.

"Understanding that I won't agree to their proposal, demon jabel informed me about the branch of your organization in snowflake city, and said you will be able to help me and thus we parted ways.

He must have helped me thinking that it was the only way through which he can be in contact with me but I didn't care.

I haven't gotten more than twenty kilometers away after meeting them that is when I noticed a huge commotion in the direction of demon jabel and makia's camp, when I returned to check the situation I found that they were ambushed by a human who has merged with angel's core and some black hooded figures supporting him.

Knowing my own limits I didn't interfere in their fight but quickly retreated from battlefield and was able to record some footage of their fight, I thought it would be helpful while negotiating with you but you were more sincere than what demon jabel had told me." At the end of my sentence the lips of silent reaper twitched.

"I hope you won't be misguided by the words of some lowly demon." Silent reaper said holding the crystal in his hand replaying the holographic video footage.

The footage was created in my sea of consciousness by using my soul force, it was more real than reality itself as the one preparing it was merlin who had 10,000 year of experience doing such things.

In the video footage merlin has recorded a 2 meter tall angel with four wings on his back fighting against demon jabel's black figure in its fiendish form, while the masked humans kept demon makia busy in his steeled werewolf form.

The footage was not more than 10 seconds long but it showed demon jabel releasing a ferocious attack which annihilated the whole surrounding and that is how the footage ended.

The purpose for preparing this footage was to shift the blame of death of two high ranking demons on heroes who have brazenly used my names to wreak havoc in my absence.

From the memories of makia we knew that they belonged to the demon faction which demon princess Amelia lead and their real mission was to locate the red gemstones which contained meeker technique.

She would sooner or later move herself if we didn't make necessary arrangement and thus we prepared this fake video footage to push the blame onto other heroes.

It took half a day and total 305 million units of soul force with merlin's expertise to finish this 10 second long fake video footage.

"Can you tell us what items they were carrying which attracted the attention of resistance forces?" Silent reaper asked.

"That information won't be cheap." Merlin said.

"If the information is worth it, I will give whatever price you ask." Silent reaper said as if to not care about cost at all.

"I don't know what was the item they got, but they needed my help decoding some ancient runes which were more complex than the runes drawn in pengia ruins, it led us to an ancient ruin, there they defeated a snake guardian and found two unique looking red gemstones, even I haven't seen something like that before but whatever the thing was now those heroes have it." I said straight lie placing my hand on the crystal which proved my words were true.

"Two red gemstones, I will have to look into that, things which would entice even heroes…, I want to buy that recording crystal from you, can you tell me in which form you would like to receive payment?" Silent reaper asked.

"I want 50% payment in the form of cores, 20% contribution point and rest in gold." merlin said.

"We will credit 500 contribution points in your genesis Id, and give you seventy, rank 7 beast core and 15,000 gold coins, would that suffice?" Silent reaper made an offer.

"I want 700 credits, fifty rank 8 cores and 15,000 gold coins will do." Silent reaper contemplated about merlin's counter offer for few seconds before nodding his head.

I handed the crystal in which the fight was recorded and received the payment immediately.

Wearing my ether mask once again, I shook hands with silent reaper as silent reaper escorted me outside the facility by opening a portal outside snowflake city.

"I noticed you didn't register yourself while entering the city, I would recommend entering the city by registering with your new Id." Silent reaper said and was about to step inside the portal when a humanoid figure rose from the shadow of a tree 20 meter away from us.

She looked like some high status noble demon girl, she was 6 feet tall, her skin fair accompanied by a beautiful face one would die for with two short horns protruding from her forehead but I knew it was a disguise but the way she arrived at our location, her powers bothered me.

'Should I use dragon gaze on her?' I asked merlin because my instinct warned me to leave this place as soon as possible.

'No, I tried to see through her disguise and failed, it is better to leave from here before we pique her interest.' Merlin said.

'Do you think she will just let us go, we both failed to sense her arrival before she presented herself before us, I think her soul force is more than mine.' I said trying to evaluate the strength of demon in front of me.

'Just leave that to silent reaper.' Merlin said and I understood his meaning.

"You kept me waiting for half an hour outside your branch even after knowing I am a gold member, and open a portal away from my location to sneak out a rat; you better have a good explanation." She said in an angry tone turning toward silent reaper.

"Please act respectfully, shadow empress, you are talking to the 6th seat of genesis upper echelon 'silent reaper' and it was you, who come here unannounced." Silent reaper tone was both respectful as well as sarcastic.

"As for keeping you waiting, we were unaware of your presence because we have just returned from somewhere outside the branch, does this reason satisfy your curiosity?" Now I was more curious about the identity of this demon whom silent reaper was obliged to answer.

"Uhhh…" When she heard his reply she was shocked for few seconds before turning toward me with curious gaze and I felt a penetrative stare trying to see through my disguise, I felt the disguise mask around my eyes shake a little as if it would break any moment.

'She just used [Dragon gaze] on you and a powerful one at that.' Merlin said and I looked into her eyes which were shining golden.

'She has merged with dragon core, are you sure it is [Dragon gaze] and not… never mind, what should we do?' I asked merlin because once the eye mask breaks my white hair and golden eyes will be revealed behind ether mask.

"I would prefer if you don't bother our guest any more than you already have miss." Silent reapers voice broke her concentration and she diverted her gaze from me back to silent reaper.

'Oh here comes my demon in shining armor.' I thought because whatever her status might be, she won't disobey silent reapers order.
