There was a tense silence that fell upon the trio after Axis made his declaration. The Light Elf, who was usually glaring at him apprehensively, was then staring at him wide-eyed in astonishment. Axis didn’t know what she was expecting, but he didn’t expect that reaction. Vilda, on the other hand, was still glaring at him as if he had offended her. He suddenly felt the urge to clarify. 


“I don’t know about the rest of the world, and I can’t say with confidence that I hate Humankind enough to justify a genocide. However, as long as Demkil is around, I’ll never know peace. They’ll continue to hunt me down, killing anyone who attempts to help me, calling them either traitors or Monsters as well. If I… If any of us want to survive, then Demkil has to be destroyed.” 


Suddenly, Vilda stood up in outrage as if she couldn’t hold herself back any longer.
