BAM!

Feral slammed the temple doors closed as he crawled into the rivers. They could hear the angry banging of the door by the multitude of angels as they tediously crawled through the waters.

Feral almost couldn’t stop shivering, all mortals knew how cruel the angels were. When it came to judgment, their so-called purity became a vicious sword that diced all sinners without mercy.

If the angels were to catch them, not only would their souls be brought before the fountain and prayed for as they burned halfway to their death but their half-dead bodies would be thrown down to the heavens and no matter how powerful they were, one could only imagine just how brutal their death would be.

And that wasn’t all, angels couldn’t be killers but that wasn’t for their followers. Imagining their already/almost dead body being displayed on the fields as atrocious beings, Dina felt their ending shouldn’t be like this.

If she restarted all her reviews would be negative and being promoted would become something almost unachievable!

“DAMN!” she was so flustered that she didn’t know when she broke out of character but they were in too much trouble to even care.

“There is a way,” Genad suddenly called out to Feral amidst the chaos. “The fountain answers all prayers and if I can pray hard enough for the gates of heaven to open it might just.”

“But master you’ll…”

“It’s alright. It’s not like we have a choice, any more stress, and the guardian will turn back then escape would become impossible.”

Feral bit his lips tightly as he nodded with a pained face.

Genad tossed him the anti-device and Feral suddenly felt the scorching heat varnish. It was amazing but was it truly worth all these risks?

Soon, Genad huffed painfully as he knelt down devotedly before the waters while Feral holding a passed-out Paws watched in fear as the male prostrated deep into the waters, a white fire consuming him.

It was so obvious the male was in pain but he endured and as the waters dipped into every inch of his being he could feel his reason clouding. An intense urge to worship envelope his every being just like the waters and despite his reluctance he gave himself to the holiness that sipped within.

Just then, a sharp burst of pain tore through him and he strained his neck upwards as a scream of horror escaped his mouth. The heat was too much and he could feel his entirety overcome by it.

His blood boiled like a volcano about to erupt, his innards felt like they were being melted away and he felt a distinct feeling of his skin being peeled off by the heat. It was a HORRID feeling.

He let out a wretched howl that tore through Dina’s heart, after what she had suffered even from barely touching the waters, she could only imagine just how painful it must be for the male as a demon being literally boiled by it. She could see, hear and feel his pain and somehow a deep-rooted desire to protect the male erupted within her, if only she wasn't so powerless!

Just then, the angels burst through with force and Feral could only hold them off for a mere minute before their entourage proceeded. He gritted his teeth determinedly, getting ready to make a last-ditch effort to salvage their situation when a sudden bright light erupted blinding the entirety of them all for a moment.

Before Feral could get himself, a scream from an angel attracted everyone’s attention.

“I-it’s a six-winged angel! A holy saint!”

“A SAINT?!”

“WHAT?!”

“IMPOSSIBLE!!”

Immediately, screams erupted everywhere as the shocked angels paused their action for a minute, and that was all Feral needed. Whilst the screams were ongoing Dina had noticed the gates and without wasting a second she instantly placed half of her points into strength and speed and hauling up the passed-out Genad and Paw, leaped towards the gates dextrously.

“STOP HIM!!!”

But it was too late. Feral flawlessly flung himself through the gates and with a bang! The gates were shut in front of the angels who were a millisecond later.

“Immediately, to the lower realms, we must not let him escape with the saint!”

Feral fell down from the huge tree he had landed on, shielding the duo in his arms with his body as he tumbled down tediously. Falling straight from the heavens, he was lucky enough to fall straight into the tree and thanks to his flexibility and agility landed properly with no broken bones.

However, the pressure from the fall caused the branch he had landed on to break off sending them straight to the floor but luckily enough, the ground was filled with dry leaves and branches which helped crash their fall.

All this had left him in a dizzy spell but he knew better than to screw everything up by passing out. With the help of Zero, Dina managed to stumble into a deep cave but was besieged by a beast.

Thankfully, with the VR, Feral was able to avoid confrontation and instead lured the beast away from the cave while setting up a fake reality to momentarily protect them from any other dangers.

After gently laying down the now detransformed Paws and the passed-out Genad whose six wings cradled into a ball, he finally let the wave hit him, and falling heavily to his knees, passed out before the duo.

[Meanwhile]

“David. Gabriel,” the angel lord called out calmly and the next instant two five-winged creatures appeared before him.

He sat up from his throne and adjusted his bathrobe which barely covered his upper body, apart from this angel, which other would ever dress this vulgar?

“What is this that I hear? That the angels have descended and are ravaging the lower realms?” he asked, the pressure he emitted directly pressing the duo into a prostrate posture.

“Sir, they claim to have seen a saint, and the saint had escaped with a person who happened to be a fake angel,” David replied earnestly.

There was silence for a while as a minor look of surprise flashed through the angel's face. Indeed, a saint was the last thing he had expected, and not only that but a bunch of low realmers actually intruded on their home? How hilarious!

“Someone dared to enter the courts of heaven?” the male asked slowly, the pressure he omitted increasing at each word so much that the surroundings began quivering.

“Lessen thy rage, my lord. For at thy command, we will surely find this creature, with all our strength and might!” Gabriel declared righteously.

Finally, the lord glanced at them with a pair of disinterested eyes before walking back up to his throne.

Adjusting his slackened robe he asked lightly, “So what did they steal?”

A suffocating silence instantly filled the surroundings as the two angels trembled in fear, extreme reluctance written over their faces, and as they couldn't find the courage to speak a word they simply shut up.

The lord however was having none of this as he once more asked with a voice less curious and more foreboding, placing emphasis on every word as he spoke, “What. Did. They. Steal.”

“Sir… they stole that malicious treachery.”

“….”

“…I see.”

Somewhere deep in the land of elves, an explosion was set off causing Artalio who lay down leisurely as his maid massaged him, to sigh lightly before eventually sending the maidens away.

“I guess the issue was indeed serious. There goes my rest! Jenad, prepare my robe, I shall go attend the angel lord myself.”

“Yes sir!”
