LATE

Xinyi sat down uneasy as she waited for her cousin's call. Was Winter Night really going to disband? Certainly not. She had given him a generous amount of money from her allowance. Every month, she received $300,000 as her allowance. That was obviously too much money. Therefore, she had always endeavored to save. Luckily, her years of saving had been put to good use. Just as she was about to crazy, Bao Jun finally called.

"Cousin, you finally called." Xinyi said.

"You must have been waiting. Don't worry. Your precious Winter Night isn't disbanding. I will bring some documents for you to sign later. Congratulations cousin. You are now the largest shareholder in MMF Entertainment. How do you feel?" Bao Jun asked.

"I don't care about the shares. You can handle them for me. All I care about is my beloved Winter Night. Have you told them the news?" Xinyi asked twirling around in a circle as she imagined their faces.

Will they be all cool about it or will they be shouting for joy? Maybe she should have just revealed herself telling them she was their biggest fan. Maybe she could always have a private concert when she wanted. Winter Night performing only for her. The idea seemed too good to be true.

"Don't even think about it. It's one thing that I am helping you and even allowed you to become a trainee. If Uncle and Aunt found out, they might have an heart attack. You are their only child and heiress to the whole Tang Group. You better not even dream of revealing yourself to the public. Tomorrow, come to the agency. You know where it is right? Come and I will introduce you to everyone. WE ARE NOT RELATED." Bao Jun said sternly.

Xinyi sighed stopping. Although she felt like shouting on the top of her lungs, her cousin was right. Her mother and father would freak out if they found out she dared to reveal herself to the public.

"Love you cousin." Xinyi said.

Tang Bao Jun rolled his eyes as he cut the call. Setting his phone down, his eyes went back up as he saw the members of Winter Night arrive. Mochi was the first to enter wearing a baggy trouser with a big sweatshirt that barely fit him. Across it was written in bold letters "FREEDOM". Next was Liuxian who was wearing designer clothes. Typical Liuxian. His hair seemed to be well styled as if he was going for an interview. Well, at least he was living up to his reputation as the visual of the group.

"Mr Tang." Randy said entering the room.

Tang Bao Jun's hand to his head as he watched Randy enter. The rebel of the group. As usual, Randy had worn everything he told him not to wear. His trouser was practically at his butt and he had worn a sleeveless long shirt. He had also pierced his eyebrows and the top of his ear. Closing his eyes, Bao Jun sighed waiting until Jianhong (JH) appeared walking into the room.

"Jianhong. You are here." Bao Jun said.

Ever since he had spotted JH when he was 16, he knew he was talent. Jianhong was talented in almost everything. And was a good songwriter. Too bad even gods make mistake. Ever since the scandal Jianhong had with his ex-wife, Winter Night's ratings had gone down and slowly they started to fall. Jianhong seemed to have sunk into depression and wasn't able to write any good song. Sales had gone down and that was what led them to bankruptcy.

"I have good news. It's very rare, right? I hate giving good news myself but this time I have no choice. Winter Night has been saved by a fan this time." Bao Jun said watching as the members looked at themselves puzzled.

" A fan?" Jianhong asked.

"Yes. A fan. My cousin is a huge fan of Winter Night. She heard about your disbandment and well, forget the long details. The good part is that you guys no longer need to disband. Do you guys want to disband?" Bao Jun asked crossing his legs.

The members looked at themselves happily smiling and a huge rock seemed to be lifted from Jianhong's heart. A bright light had appeared in the mist of their darkness. If he could see whoever had invested in the agency, he would willing be that person's slave. Fan? Bao Jun had said she was a fan of theirs. He would willing sing for her.

"Of course not. Thank you Mr Tang. I would hug you right now but I don't want to wrinkle my dress." Randy said playfully as he danced back.

"Thank you Mr Tang. I am very grateful. Is there a way I could personally meet your cousin to thank her too?" Jianhong asked.

"No. Unfortunately, my cousin can't meet up with you. As you are aware, my cousin's identity has always been kept hidden from the public. I have spoken to the board of directors and we have decided to debut a new girl group while you are having your comeback. This way we can show the public that we are rising from the ashes. As usual, Jianhong will be in charge. I trust his songwriting skills. Do not disappoint me. All the staffs in the agency will be at your disposal. Is that clear?" Bao Jun asked.

"You know I can't write any songs. All the songs I've written recently have fell short. It's better one of the songwriters do the songwriting. I will help in coordinating the members." Jianhong said.

Tang Bao Jun raised his hand stopping as he dropped his leg leaning in. The other members looked scared as Bao Jun glanced at all of them briefly before looking at Jianhong.

"You were going through a rough time. I'm not going to fault you. But now, there is so much to lose. A fan trusted and believed in your group, you cannot let her down. How about this? In order to help you find your inspiration, why don't you help in training the candidates for the new girl group? Tracing back to your roots might help." Bao Jun said.

The members of Winter Night turned staring at Jianhong and Jianhong nodded his head in agreement. Mr Tang was right. There was too much to lose. Since someone had decided to believe in him, he could not fail her whoever she might be.

"I accept." Jianhong said watching as Bao Jun smiled.

*************************************

The next day, Xinyi woke up early finding the most perfect dress to wear to the agency. She was so excited that she didn't know what exactly to wear. Today was her first day as an idol trainee. She was going to Winter Night off stage for the first time. Picking up a blue dress, Xinyi gazed the dress wondering if it was okay.

"No. It's too short. Too revealing." Xinyi said dropping the dress for another one.

The next one was a pink turtle neck long sleeve dress. The dress was very stylish with pearl beads decorating the neck. A smile appeared on Xinyi's face as she remembered buying the dress all the Italy after seeing it on a celebrity. She definitely wore the dress better. But,

"This would definitely expose my identity." Xinyi said dropping it on the bed.

All her clothes were truly expensive and would expose her identity. Even if they wouldn't guess who her father was, they would know she came from a rich family. No. This won't do. Heading back to her closet, Xinyi bent down pulling the drawer open. If dresses seemed a little bit too much, trousers would certainly do the trick.

After thirty minutes, Xinyi smiled as she stared at the mirror. She was finally ready. This time, she was dressed in a white long sleeve shirt and a blue jeans trousers. She had researched online and found out this was perfect for her image as an idol trainee. Unknown to her, she was already late. Suddenly, her phone started ringing.

"Hello." Xinyi said.

"Tang Xinyi, did you get lost or something? Have you looked at the time?" Bao Jun asked causing Xinyi to immediately search for time.

12:46. She was really late.

"Sorry. I didn't even look at the time. I will be on my way." Xinyi said.

"Have you packed your bags?" Bao Jun asked as he rubbed his temple.

"Bags? Am I going to be staying in a dorm or something?" Xinyi asked.

Tang Bao Jun bursted out laughing. Ever since she was little, his cousin had been very unique. She did whatever she wanted and was very bold not caring about the consequences. Not to mention she had been spoilt silly by her parents. What had he been thinking by accepting her money and conditions? Obviously he was either possessed or mad. She didn't even know she was going to stay in a dormitory.

"Hey. Have you thought about it? If you go home everyday, you can be followed. Once you are revealed to be a trainee, you will have lots of dangers accompanying you." Bao Jun said.
