Chapter 89 : Orochimaru's Guess!

Kazuhiko lay comfortably in his bed, unconcerned about the turmoil in Konoha as it resembled a pot of porridge.

At this time, the medical care facility was situated in the home of the Third Hokage, which belonged to the Sarutobi clan.

The Third Hokage was currently lying on a hospital bed in his own home, with Tsunade attending to his injuries.

Orochimaru, his disciple, stood nearby, his cold snake-like eyes fixated on the scar across his teacher's face. He couldn't help but run his fingers over the air, trying to recreate the scene of the sword's impact.

Notably, his teacher's Adamantine Staff had been split in half, reverting to its original form with a "pong" sound when it lost Sarutobi Hiruzen's Chakra support.

Orochimaru felt the power of the mysterious sword and had visited the scene to understand its terrifying nature. In his raspy voice, he remarked, "What an incredible sword, what extraordinary power! To think this is just a teenage boy, the level of control he has over this power is simply unbelievable."

"Orochimaru-sama, please refrain from touching Hokage-sama's wound, as it may worsen his condition," admonished one of the female ninjas in their distinctive outfits.

Orochimaru smiled and withdrew his hand, "The Hokage is fortunate. If the wound had been deeper, it could have been a dire situation."

"Yes, heaven forbid. If anything were to happen to the Hokage, what would become of Konoha..."

"If anything were to happen to the Hokage, we'd have to exact vengeance on the Land of Whirlpools, and punish the Uzumaki clan severely, even though they are our allies."

"The Uzumaki clan should be grateful that Hokage-sama is unharmed. Otherwise, they would never leave Konoha, and the Land of Whirlpools would face dire consequences."

"In my opinion, even if Hokage-sama recovers, we should teach the Land of Whirlpools a lesson..."

The conversation continued in a similar vein, with agreement among the female ninja.

However, someone brought up a different point, "But the head of the Uzumaki clan is incredibly powerful. Even Hokage-sama might not be able to defeat him..."

This comment led to an awkward silence. Orochimaru overheard the ninjas discussing in hushed tones. It seemed ironic to him that they had proposed the test themselves and were now complaining about the Uzumaki clan's power, which almost led to the death of the Third Hokage.

Some had even begun to contemplate revenge, disregarding the fact that they had initiated the test.

Orochimaru had a sudden realization. His pupils constricted, and his eyes filled with disbelief, "Could it be... Did the leader of the Uzumaki clan deliberately wound the Hokage? Did he strike with just enough force to leave a scar on the teacher's body without actually killing him?"

He considered the consequences if the Hokage had died due to the attack, leading to inevitable war with the Land of Whirlpools.

However, by sparing the Hokage's life with a mere scar, they might have avoided such a conflict, especially with a powerful figure like the Uzumaki clan head.

"Is it possible? Did he truly control his power to such a precise extent? But that's unimaginable... No, it must be a coincidence!" Orochimaru shook his head, his forehead drenched in sweat, unable to believe his own audacious thoughts.

At that moment, he considered discussing this possibility with Jiraiya but refrained, fearing that no one would believe him. Even if he shared his suspicions, the truth could only be known by Kazuhiko himself.

The night passed quickly, and Kazuhiko awoke refreshed at dawn. After getting ready, he walked to the courtyard, glancing back at Tsunade's house, which was still closed. He knew that Tsunade hadn't returned during the night.

This time, Uzumaki Kazuhikodidn't dwell on it. He left the courtyard and headed to the place where Uzumaki Mito resided. They had agreed to have breakfast together this morning.

On his way, he encountered members of the Senju clan, who either regarded him with curiosity or offered respectful salutations.

While their respect was partly due to the courtesy shown to guests the previous day, it was also because of their newfound respect for his strength.

Kazuhiko was no stranger to such looks; he had been observed this way while in the Land of Whirlpools. He greeted them casually and hurried to Uzumaki Mito's dwelling.

"Grandma Mito, I'm here for breakfast. Is it ready?" he called out as he approached the door.

Inside, Uzumaki Mito had already prepared breakfast and was sitting at the table, awaiting his arrival. Her face lit up with a smile upon hearing his voice.
