Moving Fast

Kyros, who was now tending to his back peeped over his shoulder to look at him, Rowan almost flinched from the proximity.

"Startle me like that again and I'll find a way to get rid of you for good," Rowan scolded and Kyros only smiled.

"I'm used to people always trying to get rid of me. I guess I'm really that tiring." 

There was a flash of hurt in the Halfbreed's silver eyes, the feeling stung the bond they shared, one that Rowan didn't even want to acknowledge.

Instead of the comforting words he had in mind, another set of words rolled off his tongue.

"You mean breeds."

The Halfbreed shrugged. 

"Well, the human from my mother's side and the vampires from my father's side don't consider me as one of them. They aren't bad to me, but there are some things you will just know."
