Souta and May

A YEAR AND A HALF LATER

I learn a lot of magic thanks to May,

Now with this power, I think I'm ready to go to the outside world,

It's only been a half year but it feels like many years passed because of the slow time magic,

Many years have passed and I developed feelings for May,

At first, I thought that it was not what you called "love" it's more like a friend or a family welp something like that,

I didn't pay attention to it then an accident happened.

A few months ago

(May has a lot of knowledge about the magic of course she can use it too but she was weakened because of a certain reason)

I was about to hunt that day like I usually do daily but then surprisingly May wanted to join,

May ran towards me after she finish cleaning the house "today I'll help you hunt Souta!"

"eh? But you were weakened right?"

"I'm strong now it feels like a can beat you now hmp! And I already finished cleaning the house"

(she means the cave that they found in the first chapter) she said that with a proud face although it's dangerous maybe staying at home bored her

"ok just stay close to me Kay?"

"Kay!" she was really happy when she heard that but that day I regret allowing her to join me

while walking to the forest deep inside the forest we still couldn't find a single monster roaming around

"weird were walking for about an hour now and yet we still couldn't encounter any monster"

(May use high-tier search magic)

Note: Souta is still learning high-tier magic so his search magic is still low level

she then detects an SS-class monster

calamity= Demi-God

Semi calamity= demon lord

SSS= can destroy a continent

SS= can destroy a kingdom

S= dragon

A= wyvern

B= cyclops

C= orc

D= wolves

E= goblin

F= slime

May mumble something "Souta might praise me if I hunt that big monster hehe"

May use teleport magic, to hunt the SS class monster

"May stay close to me there might be a strong monster that hunts the other monster here-"

he look at his back but May wasn't there

"May? That idiot!"  (boom!!) Smoke rises and there's a large fire in the inner section of the forest where high-level monster always appear Souta use reinforce magic and strengthening magic and run as fast as he can where the smoke is

"what's this?! it's not going down it's supposed to be weak at fire magic!"

May is facing a plant-type SS class monster it is common sense that a plant-type monster is weak at fire magic

May use (fire spear magic) a fire that is shaped like a spear appears in the thin air and hit the monster but not even a single burn affects it

"Why!? It's a plant-type monster!" May then start panicking because her magic is not effective while panicking May then unconsciously use all of her mana and focus on one fire magic to finish the monster (fire circle magic) the monster is surrounded by fire the tree and ground around the monster burn,

it burn continuously but the monster just walk past through the fire and still it didn't burn May already use all of her mana now and she was exhausted

"why? Even though I'm weakened it's still unique magic!" the monster walk towards May and starts to attack her ice like a chain lock the monster

(magic ice bind)

ice bind magic that can hold its target by an ice chain in the middle tier it can only hold an SS rank monster for a minute

Souta ran toward May "are you stupid huh!? Drink this it's a mana potion"

Youta lift May's head and let her drink the potion

"cough cough Souta that monster is immune to fire magic"

"fire magic doesn't have an effect huh? did you try another magic?"

"It's a plant-type monster so I thought its weakness is fire... sorry for rushing Youta.."

"Well don't mind it, as long as May is safe then it's fine, also it may be true that wood type monster is weak to fire but it doesn't mean it's weak to fire if the fire is not effective then try another spell"

the monster strangles to escape then it successfully breaks through it, it runs as fast as it can towards where Souta and May are  while it's still running Souta then uses thunder strike magic a thunder then strike the monster and it was effective

May surprise "eh? it's effective?"

"you may know a lot but you lack experience although I'm not the one to talk"

The monster used its root to bind them, but Souta carry May and jump high, there is a circle barrier they are standing at the top

"I still lack training, I can only use middle-tier magic, we will finish this together and use thunder magic"

May nodded, Youta use a middle-tier magic "thunder strike!", while May used a unique magic "tempest!"

The whole ground was covered in thunder and thunderstruck, Bam!!! Bam!! (thunder spark sound)

"May! We did it! May?" May collapse because of low mana

A few days later

May woke up "hmm? where am I?" Souta was at her side sitting and waiting for her to wake up "you're at the cave"

"I'm very sorry!" she bows and is about to cry, "I thought that I will be useful If I can hunt a strong monster like that

But in the end, I'm still a burden to Youta" she felt really bad that she was just a burden to Souta she grips the bed sheet as she bows

But then Youta hugged her "Souta?"

"don't be stupid, you are the one that teaches me magic and a lot about this world, of course, you are not a burden" he hugs her tight

"When you didn't wake up in a day I was worried thinking that you will never wake up again just thinking about it, it was scary"

"I was also scared when I was about to kill by that monster but then you saved me, I was really happy"

"May... I love you" "Huh?" shocked at what she heard "I was thinking that if you teach me all you know about this world you'll Disappear because that is the only reason you stay by my side right? thinking of a world where you're gone I'll rather die, Every day was really fun it's because you're here with me I love you May"

Souta pulls himself away and looks at her face, "will you stay by my side? not as a guide that was sent by God but as a lover?"

She smiled and happily answered "Yes!" Souta kissed May
