CHAPTER 3 – Beauty with a skull

{WARNING!!!! The promised gore violence is here}

I stare out the window, as everyone talks about that weird video which Wrap had played a while ago. The topic reaches to the guy whose murder was shown in the video, and I sense that weird thoughts again, which are not mine.

"Are you from another nation or something?" Lost-Bird asks.

"She… we better not try to make guesses or ask who either of us are. If we are doing whatever we are doing," Rustizen says. "Until we are doing it."

Without my full control, I find my upper body sticking out the window, searching for where exactly the 'Exterior Beings' were.

"Already?" Scelestha asks.

"All are around here. Really must not be here," I say.

"Who and what?" Lost-Bird asks.

Scelestha turns the minivan around and by the time the turn completes, I jump out the window, and land on the ground. The minivan just speeds away and the people on the roadside stare and gasp at me.

"Go away!" I warn them, before speeding forward, without even caring if they obey or not.

I run sideways to a huge bridge, I remember how Scelestha had said that this was connected to the national highway. I run into the shade of the bridge, as soon as possible, forward and forward.

Eventually, I flip in the air and kick something away, something which threw itself towards me. Every soul runs away, not too long after seeing what it was; a Humanoid-wolf.

The Humanoid-wolf stood about five feet tall, shorter than me. But, it was sulking. Probably it must have formed not too long ago, and still… morphing.

The more the number of these Exterior Beings, the slower their morphing time was. As they all missed one thing: my flesh. Each of these creatures, including the one I fought, not too long ago, possessed a part of me.

Obviously this Saturn Organisation was the one making these rip-offs of me. However I don't recall being acquainted with Saturn Organisation, or having encountered them, except through these Exterior Beings.

However the hell they had reeked off of my flesh… it must all be related to how I lost my memories.

All I know for sure is that, I want to kill that person, the lady in a purple mask and purple suit. I barely can remember her, but she is the one who did this to me.

But as I stare at the humanoid-wolf, chills run down my spine. Some kind of… déjà vu. It sure had something to do with me, besides being an Exterior Being. Its form… must be something personal which it copied from one of the hazy-glimpses of the past.

I toss myself backwards and then forward, after it pounces again at me. I punch towards it, and it escapes by a hair's breath.

I feel other Exterior Beings closing in, so I quickly try to catch hold of the Humanoid-wolf. And when I finally catch it, it bites into my hand and takes out a part of my flesh. I jerk away from it.

The thing about my powers is… it is just strength, pure strength… BLUNT strength. I lacked nails, and teeth, for as long as I remember at least. So tearing into flesh was a tough thing to do.

And through my pain, I think of that and look at the Humanoid-wolf… it really did have teeth, but they weren't… calcium, not by the looks or strength of it. They looked and felt like some rock, weaker than animal teeth, yet strong enough to tear me.

The Humanoid-wolf just dissolves the meat in itself, than eat it.

I realise that even if I escape now… I was now surrounded by different thoughts from all directions. Meaning, the Exterior Beings were everywhere. Far behind, to my left and right, at my top – upon the bridge, and I felt one… where the hell is that place?

"You came prepared," I say, and I hear the Exterior Beings giggle like hyenas. "So did I."

I run towards the Humanoid-wolf and at lifts it's rocky-claw and readies itself. I hold the paw, as if it was a hand, and hold the other one with my other hand, and lock it behind its back.

"Let's dance."

I walk backwards, fumbling through the small, gardened sidewalk, I drag the Humanoid-wolf and toss it upwards, into another Exterior Being.

I climb the stumbling mix of the two beings and jump upwards, and grab the edge of the bridge which the octopus-like Exterior Being is grabbing onto. The two fall, not before I make their grips loose, and I jump up the bridge.

"Very nice," someone speaks, it wasn't an Exterior Being, as I couldn't feel it, even now.

It was someone… weird, floppy flesh, tattered clothes, just a plain knife in one hand and a sword in another… which he was holding onto from gripping on the head it was dug into.

What was weirder was, his skin WAS red, like muscle, meaning he had no skin, yes, but… I swear I could see an outer red glow, blanketed on him.

"Silence…" he says and he bops his head uncomfortably, as if he was going to puke. "P-peaceful, r-ri-right?"

The silence he was talking about, was the silence on the very bridge. The flyover where around a hundred vehicles just go by, to get on the other side… was silent. All the broken cars and bikes and trucks and buses. With blood all over.

I wonder how there was zero screaming, the blood oozing out freshly, this was done in the last five minutes. Zero collisions of vehicles, everything just had stopped dead, with everyone inside massacred.

"No point right?" he says, looking at my taken-aback expression. "All this," he points to the surrounding, "not me really," he laughs. "But humans just… mm, e-entrance. T-th-they love… it-t."

"Feeling cool? Right, all these plays and all that, I see it on the TV, and not exactly my type. But what a show. Surely not fake, this smell, real. Still not less of a show," I say.

"S-s-smell?" he asks and comes closer, I hop away, but land on a dead body, I just jerk away, disgusted. "Sorry, I shouldn't have. But you feel… smell? How does it feel? Can I-Can I, take that from you? They told me I can, I can right?"

I give a glare of no-emotion.

"It's been a while. I-let's just complete this," he says, pushing his hands around in the air.

I feel the Exterior Beings slowly creep up to me. It takes them about five minutes to come, but I stand there. I can't move at all, as if something had bind me.

The Humanoid-wolf smirks at my state and holds the front of my face, and I try to resist, but it just pushes me down the ground, and pins me there. The other Exterior Beings pull me to the edge of the bridge, and bind me completely, before the world-still bind releases me.

"Smell," he says and walks closer with his knife in hand.

The Exterior Beings remove my mask and throw it away. The floppy guy looks at me with a dazed expression.

"Some skull," he says and throws away the jaw struck to my face, I cover up the cavities with my stored flesh. "Fake skin patch," he says and throws the skin patch which is on the upper half of my face.

And there I stand, bound, and naked of my fleshy form.

And the guy digs his knife into the middle of my face, around my nose, and I whimper. He stops digging and stares into the unknown, then resumes again in a while. He reaches for a piece of my inside and pulling it, sticks it into him.

He moves around his nose for a while and seems despaired.

"Doesn't work," he says. "Human anatomy… not… h-helping."

"What the fuck do you need?"

"To feel. Come on, d-don't be ri-ridiculous I-I th-thought you were n-not a v-vile creature, no-ot understanding surrounding matters."

He thinks for a while and looks at me.

"Mm, ta-take away her clothes."

The Exterior Beings tear out all that costly outwear Scelestha had got me. And this guy just stares at my naked body, exclusively around my chest.

"What… y-you feel like a h-human? Ha-having j-junk on you. Feels better?" he asks, rather calmly, but at the same time, unimpressed.

His expression turns to some unknown anger for the first time, and he digs into my left breast. I moan out in pain and fight hard to get out, but with no success, as he rips one of my breast.

As he starts to cut out the other breast, I clench my chest and try to break the knife apart, by becoming dense in the part being torn.

The guy just stares at me, without pulling out the knife struck in me. I gasp and glare at him, breathing heavily.

He finally moves the knife and it just carves around the region, instantly now. I cry out loud and scream, and cry and cry. And he finally stops dead.

"P-pain? Y-you, y-yo-you, know p-pa-pain?" he asks and then stabs himself a dozen times, crying, but not crying. "I DON'T! WHY DO YOU DESERVE IT?"

I just cry and gasp-in air, continuously, while sweat forms profusely around my whole body.

"P-pain… is beautiful. That fe-feeling… d-divine. I'm a cursed b-being. I want it! What must I take from you? Please, p-please tell me!" he begs.

I stay silent and he gets angry and starting from my neck, he carves downwards at the centre of my body, until my abdomen. He freezes once more.

"I'm sorry. T-that must have hurt." The opening shut close at the same time it had opened, and all I feel is heat at the area around the knife. "D-don't worry, I will just take the needed parts. It won't hurt… much."

"F-fuck y-you," I shiver.

"Oh," he says and takes the knife out of me. "The heat… right. The knife has this energy source which helps with that and it helps. It's a teeny-tiny radioactive element you see. Of course it just heats, it's not radioactive. They don't want to lose an asset such as you to radioactivity."

Thunder rumbles in the distance, and the guy shudders. Something breaks the sound barrier, just as the guy starts screaming at the thunder which rumbled.

The next moment, the guy flies away, also breaking the sound barrier. The Exterior Beings and I get tossed away. Without caring for the occurrence, I just run with all my might, to escape the Exterior Beings.

A lot of running and hiding later, they finally catch and bind me again. Pinning me down, they all take their time feeding on me, while I just stay there, leaning on some car, helplessly. My insides… I finally get to see, thanks to this lion-like hungry Exterior Being.

"Alright," I mumble, when I finally feel numb. "You win."

While I finally feel like letting go and fall dizzy… a gunshot wakes me up.
