CHAPTER 6 – Night-1

[End of the long day, with a short chapter, probably will be the last short chapter]

"Oh nope. We aren't doing that," Rustizen is the first one to complain.

"Would have called him a cry baby, but agreed, that IS ridiculous," Wrap says.

"That is a bit… hard to just go by with," Psyand's mother calmly protests.

"Well, we will be here, in a safe place given to him by some sportsmen secret app or whatever," Scelestha says, pointing at Rustizen. "Together. So like… will four sit in four different corners, turning to the wall, and eat, while other two sit back to back, at the centre?"

I scoff at that, and Scelestha seems to look at me, which feels like a glare.

"Or we could just absorb foods through our masks. And what about when you are sleeping? Will you sleep WITH a mask?"

"Or we could go back our homes and not live together, and only team up when needed?" Psyand asks.

"Yeah we could do that, right?" Psyand's mother asks.

"I was being sarcastic," Psyand says.

I sigh and remove my mask. Everyone just stares at me. "Must I say my real name now, or are we going with Lost-Bird?"

"I'd much prefer being called as Psyand," Psyand giggles and removes her mask.

Psyand's mother gasps and taps-a-slap on Psyand's back.

Psyand truly had the cute-little-kid face and charm. People who believed that brown people didn't look beautiful, clearly hadn't seen Zendaya or Psyand.

Her short bob cut hair perfectly suited her style. She had few freckles at the top of her nose, which looked rather cute. And a few red spots of small pimples were here and there on her cheek.

Wrap goes ahead to take his mask off, but pauses. "You people have got the COVID vaccination right?"

"I have," Rustizen says.

"We have," Psyand's mother says.

I just nod, when everyone looks at me.

"I… have," Scelestha says, as if to build suspense.

Wrap removes his mask finally, revealing his face.

Not to sound racist, but Wrap was the brownest of all, basically had a dark face. Rather than having a jawline, seeing as to how his body was ripped and huge, his jaw was rather curvy. The body of a bodybuilder and face of a kid. He clearly didn't seem like one to care about skin care routine, as he had black spots and many pimples.

"I had to visit my skin care doctor today," Wrap says, seemingly embarrassed.

So I judged soon. Maybe the lazy skin care?

"You look nice, Mr. Wrap," Psyand says, cheerfully.

Next Psyand's mother removes her own mask, and I could clearly see the similarity in the faces of the mother and child. But rather, she had long hairs, and was on the whiter side. She had dark circles under her eyes, so I make a guess that taking care of a kid must be tiring to her, but she looked energetic, than tired.

Truly, mothers had other superpowers.

"Ooh, mama," Scelestha says and laughs, and that makes Psyand's mother blush, and laugh too.

Rustizen had already removed his mask, without anyone noticing, and when everyone did, they recognised who it was.

"Seems everyone here knows my name. Damn. That's why I hated the idea," Rustizen sighs.

"We are glad you are safe… Rustizen. The news…" Psyand's mother says.

"Clearly wasn't good idea to use powers out in the open," Rustizen says, clearly being embarrassed.

Rustizen wasn't native to India. Clearly. Even when he played for a state of India, in the intra-competition of football; he wasn't.

He clearly had the vanilla pale skin of a foreigner and also… bruises. His pimples seemed to be in a bad state, due to that. But those just were a few scars on the canvas of beauty. Clearly what happened… didn't happen too long ago.

"I don't… HAVE a skin care doctor," Rustizen laughs lightly, to brighten the mood.

Scelestha starts moving away.

"Your… turn?" Rustizen says.

"Removing the armour isn't that easy," Scelestha says.

"Oh so you don't summon it or something?" Psyand asks.

"That… is someone else's powers. Someone… important," Scelestha says.

A while passes and everyone just awkwardly sits on the couch. Rustizen calls me towards the balcony, and I go to him.

"I don't know if you are a powered-individual or human," Rustizen says, looking into the sky. "Really doesn't matter at this point," he scoffs.

I get tensed of what to reply to that, at that pause-which-felt-like-an-eternity.

"But I know for sure that you are that kind of person you talked about, one who is not on THEIR side." My heart sinks at that. "And that is enough for you to stick along… IF you want to."

He finally looks at me and I flinch at his gaze, which still stays the same. I take a deep breath and look into the space, and nod.

"Wow, you clearly have that main lead style, mate," Rustizen laughs, and I too laugh, with a tiny bit of embarrassment.

As some while passes and we finally open the balcony door to listen to the inside noises, we pick on the door's opening noise, and look into the room.

Everyone were looking towards the room door, where Scelestha had gone, and we couldn't see. So we walk in, to the scene.

Scelestha was standing there… in a rather… stunning manner… especially to the guys, but even Psyand and her mother were… in a word, mesmerized. Scelestha was in a sleeveless crop top and shorts, both in black.

While everyone was stunned, Scelestha was confused and looked at herself.

"Oh, is it a bit too less?"

"No it's totally fine," everyone chorused together, in a mesmerized state.

Scelestha's abs were shown. Covered in a bit of sweat, the ab-lining was… remarkable. Her biceps and triceps were pretty ripped. And other things… well. Her face, unlike others', was perfect. Just no skin problem at all, she was an immune beauty.

She was a ten, but was unaware of things.

"So do you guys want to look at Witch's face too or…?" Wrap asks.

"And break that binding by chance? Let's not take such a chance," I say.

"Then… what do we like, do now?" Rustizen asks, and everyone looks at each other, awkwardly.

Psyand's mother offers to prepare food, and Scelestha and Rustizen join to help her. Rustizen didn't have that many variety of ingredients, seemingly, but the chefs didn't flinch at that, and made a feast.

Psyand's mother sat with Psyand on the couch and fed her, and herself. Scelestha took her plate and went into the room with Witch. I was left with the guys, and we just simply made a makeshift dining table, and sat around it.

"Guess we need to… be friends now," Rustizen points.

Wrap switches to Kannada, "As if it's some chaos, why do you put it?"

Rustizen replies in a rather sloppy Kannada, "I… simply say out."

"Wouldn't it be too obvious that you are a Kannadiga?" I scoff at Wrap.

Wrap switches to Hindi, "I switch languages accordingly. How can you or anyone figure about me?"

I reply in Hindi, "Good point, I agree to you."

Wrap gets competitive and switches to Tamil, "Oh you know Hindi? How about this?"

I reply back in Tamil, "I can speak Tamil." And I get competitive and switch to Spanish, "How about now?"

Wrap smirks and replies in Spanish, "You wish I didn't."

Rustizen calmly says something in a language I don't recognise, and continues to eat.

"What?" Wrap asks.

"I said… just because someone can't speak that language, doesn't give you any advantage. For I can understand and did understand all that; just can't speak. You just need to measure your words. You can't just become some superhero randomly, with childish ideas," Rustizen spills his wisdom.

"Superhero? That's a lot coming from the same guy from this morning," I point.

Rustizen stops eating and stares at the table for a little while, and scoffs. He says something again, in a language I don't know, but it doesn't feel hard for me to understand it.

"Who is using a childish method now? Care to translate?" Wrap asks.

Rustizen replies in Tamil, "That… one good time I'll see and say."

The coldness between the two just seems to increase every moment, but they survive the meal, and so do I, without any harm done.

I also spot Wrap pitying Rustizen's bruises, and smile to myself.

While everyone and I were thankful to the three cooks, for such a nice meal… I only felt bad to point out little mistakes in cooking that they had made, and ruin their moods. And so I kept my superpowers to myself.
