Kim Jae-hoon was injured pretty bad this time and even exhausted himself to the point that his whole body was aching from inside out.
Hence, soon after he got out of Mist Garden, he found a boulder not far from the area and sat down while leaning onto it as a support.
The young man wanted to stay like that for a while but he was well aware of the fact that he didn't have the luxury to just sit around in an open space like that.
He was currently vulnerable and weak with no energy left to engage in another battle with an unknown monster that might come their way.
"Let's go." After some time has passed, Kim Jae-hoon stood up and picked up the things that he obtained so far before leaving the place.
According to what Park Sun-jae said before they came here, the area near the river bank was surprisingly a safe zone with no presence of monsters within the 10 metre radius of distance that he scouted.
Therefore, the young man decided to head back to his previous camping place while he still had the chance.
As they were headed to the river bank, Park Sun-jae instructed Kim Jae-hoon to collect some medicinal herbs on his way so that he can treat his wounds later on.
These herbs were discovered by Park Sun-jae last night while he was taking a stroll around the forest and fortunately, their locations were on the same route he was going. So, the young man didn't have to change his course of direction or take a detour for the sake of collecting herbs for his injuries.
Furthermore, the areas where those herbs grew were safe to enter and he didn't encounter any problems or monsters while he was gathering the herbs.
Half an hour later, the duo arrived at the camping place with Kim Jae-hoon breathing heavily and gasping for air although he was walking slow.
As soon as he reached the place, he let go of the things that he had in his grasp on the ground and relaxed a bit as if a burden was lifted from his shoulders.
He then sat down under the same tree that he rested before while leaning his back onto it for support.
After seeing his pale face and the state he was in, Park Sun-jae wanted to help him somehow. But was aware of his limits and couldn't do anything physically to aid him. He bit his lips in frustration as he watched his friend suffer and cursing himself inwardly on how useless he was right now to him.
As for the the young man, he pushed himself too hard while carrying numerous kinds of stuff in his hands which were heavy for him, even though he was seriously injured.
He needed some rest…
After he was settled down under the tree, his eyes suddenly became heavy until it was completely closed and he fall asleep right afterwards.
----------------
It was already dark when he woke up. Normally, one could not see the surroundings properly without a torch or campfire in place. However, Kim Jae-hoon was able to see everything around him perfectly and crystal clear. The moonlight that shone upon him through the gaps of the trees was enough to brighten up the area making the forest more beautiful at night.
"Finally, you woke up!" Park Sun-jae said in a concerning tone who was sitting on a high branch of another tree, which was visible to the eye and one could see him from afar.
Once he noticed that his friend has awakened, he quickly got down from the tree as he floated around and approached Kim Jae-hoon.
"How long I was asleep?" The young man asked.
"You were out almost throughout the day. At certain point, I became worried about you, brother. I thought you would never wake up. Thank god, I was wrong." The ghost sighed in relief.
"Yeah, me too. Let's get to work now." The young man grunted as he tried to get up and grab the medicinal herbs that he brought back from the forest.
Park Sun-jae understood his intentions and started giving him instructions on how to make a medicine out of these herbs.
Firstly, Kim Jae-hoon cleansed the herbs and himself with the river water available.
Afterwards, he picked a flat boulder that he found nearby as a platform and started grinding some of the herbs on it separately with a rock that he cleaned before using it.
When the herbs turned into a paste-like form, the young man used the herbs on him according to what his friend suggested. Purple Orchid was good for treating open wounds and help them healing up.
He took off his shirt which was pretty much torn apart from the attacks and put the purple colour ointment on his body where the open wounds were before closing it up with large leaves on it and a fibre made out of plants used as an alternative for threads to wrapped it around him tightly so that leaves won't fall off from the body.
Blood Ginseng, as the name suggests, it is good for smoothening the blood circulation of a human body and making it heal faster from any injuries than normal. Also, it keeps the body warm during the winter nights, which is a plus point. However, ginseng has a strong taste if you just chew it like that. So, it is recommended that one should drink the liquid that it produces after mashing it up.
As for the other herb named Blue Lily Flower, the liquid that it produced after grinding it and filtering out with a soaked cloth has medicinal properties in it. It helps in increasing your stamina and rejuvenates the body with full of energy.
While mixing these two liquids into water, Kim Jae-hoon drank some of it and he felt refreshed in an instant. One can even say that he was drinking an energy drink.
Sometime later when he was done bandaging up and drinking the medicinal water from his bottle time to time, he was feeling a lot better than before.
Upon seeing his health going back to normal, Park Sun-jae felt relieved as well.
