Chapter 26

He was walking on glass around dad. Conversations were short and clipped. He wasn't putting much effort in avoiding him but they always seemed to conveniently not run into each other. It was good. They both needed it. He couldn't look at dad, and dad felt like he had broken his trust. Good. They could both hurt.

That was one crisis averted. The other was Beck. The last time they talked was Saturday night. He had ignored his calls and texts like he had been doing lately. He just didn't want to think about anything aside from not getting caught. He didn't do streams. He didn't text his regular clients. Thomas seemed to get it because he didn't really text. Seemed he would only do so when he needed him.
