Matthew Henderson is dealing with his parents going through a hellish divorce, and with self-worth issues added to the mix he wanted to do something to help his dad who was doing everything he could for both of them. A tasteless joke by his friend, telling him to show off on camera set things in motion.

<p>Helen wanted to make something fresh for Matthew. This was the third hospital visit. At least this time it wasn't something serious. Like an accident or intoxication. It was a panic attack and dehydration. Why hadn't he been drinking water? Anyway he wanted cereal and she would give it to him. She wouldn't let the hospital feed her son.</p>

<p>He wanted cereal and he would get the cereal. The sweet chocolate type that he wanted. And then for lunch, maybe some rice. It had been a while since they had that. Rice it was. She just put it on the fire and that was when she heard a sound at the door.</p>
