Chapter 104

"Oh! Sorry" Matt's feet dug into the grass. He had just come here so he could just sit and think, no that was the wrong word. Reflect. Reminisce. He had his good days and he had his bad days. Every day it was like the depressing cloud of despair that just hung over him got bigger. The thing with Thomas and life at home. Knowing he had let everyone down, had gotten his real-Emily involved in his life and it just felt too much sometimes.

He had scratched himself so bad that he had bled more than before, but that wasn't something that the first aid in the medicine cabinet couldn't fix. He just wanted to sit behind the bleachers and think of a simpler time. The only simple time he could remember was before he could realize that his parents weren't happy and that somehow he was the cause. He never had it simple. Maybe there was just something about him that was destructive.
