Chapter 28

Lucy had locked her windows, changed the locks on her door. And even told erza to beat up natsu whenever she saw him. She was angry at him for yelling at her, angry at him for making her think the ring was for her, and angry at him for making her cry!!

She sat in her apartment as she kicked her feet up on the desk becoming and acting more like her edolas version of herself as she fuzzed over how he was a idiot and a jerk.

"Ha! Stupid Newt! He hasn't even shown his face to apologize! What is he waiting for! Didn't even stop me when I was leaving his house, fucken spicy-chicken loving jerk!!"

"If you keep going, you might begin stripping like gray soon lu-chan.. hehehe.."

*levy arrived as she heard what happened over at the guild from erza.. Lucy quickly got up as she came to greet levy at the door.*

"Levy!! Your the only person who really cares about me, really!"

*lucy closed the door anew as she offered levy a seat on the couch. Levy accepted as she sat in a weird position that Lucy noticed now.*

"That's not true! Everyone at the guild cares for you lucy.. even those who shall not be named.."

*levy said as lucy and her closed their eyes and cursed his name mentally as they turned to look at each other to laugh.*

"So, why have you came over to see me levy? And are you comfortable? You seem to be sitting weirdly.."

*lucy began to get a ceramic kettle ready with some water as she prepared tea for the both of them.*

"Ah! Don't worry about me.. I'm just 3 months pregnant with twins.."

*levy said casually as lucy jumped and hit the pot with her hand getting burned in the process.*

"Your what?! AHG!!"

"Lucy! Are you alright!!?"

*levy was about to get up but Lucy reassured her she was fine as she got new water to boil as she came to sit down with levy with a plate of cookies.*

"I'm okay Levy, but tell me! How did you get pregnant!? I mean-! I know by 'whom' but how?!"

"Hahaha! It was just some bad calculations on my calendar, we ended up screwing up and tada!! We becoming parents soon.."

*levy placed Lucy's hand on her lap as she used her script magic to spell 'bandages', she wrapped Lucy's minorly burned hand as she patted her hand afterwards.*

"But Lucy.. I heard you and natsu aren't doing so hot.. what happened?"

*lucy looked away as she tried not to cry to levy and couldn't help a few tears dripping out.*

"Oh levy, I messed up.. "

*lucy began explaining to levy about how she found the ring first on their date. Levy gasped as she asked about any details on the ring or if it had any stones on it. Lucy shook her head as she continued.*

"We were okay, until we weren't.. I wanted to talk about it since I'm worried about his dumb brain thinking too much.. but in the end, I ended up pushing him too far that he yelled at me to go home.. he told me the ring wasn't for me either.. Levy.. are we falling out of love?.."

*lucy began to breakdown as she covered her mouth from making noise but that was no use.*

"Oh lu-chan.."

*levy got near now as she hugged Lucy and comforted her, Lucy began crying now as all the despair and sadness she had been keeping up inside her for that whole week went by unnoticed. Levy kept consoling her until her wails became hicks.*

"Lucy.. I don't know what to tell you.. but, I can only tell you to give him time… maybe he's in the same boat that your in… relationships aren't easy, and there will always be these bitter fights.. but Lucy.. if he really wants to save this love between you two. He will come and try making things right, but you can't limit his chances to coming here to apologize if you lock him out of your apartment or send erza to kill him if he dared to come to the guild.."

*lucy laughed as Levy smiled at how ridiculous the last one was.. it had worked though since natsu hadn't been seen at the guild that whole week.*

"Thanks levy, I'll try letting him in then to apologize… I really needed a friend to talk too.."

*lucy smiled before hearing the pot whistle, she went running to the pot as Levy stood up to help lucy open her bedroom window to finally let some fresh air in.*

Levy dusted her hands as she came back to the kitchen seeing the tea was ready and served. Lucy and levy continued to talk about natsu's baby fever rumor that mira started around the guild after she saw his baby shoes he was so protective over. Lucy laughed as she explained Levy that he was just given the shoes by a old woman who thought he had kids. But, agreed with levy that he was very protective of them already when there wasn't even a child inside her womb yet.

natsu couldn't believe what he was about to do.

he had walked by Lucy's apartment everyday hoping her window would be open so he could come and apologize. He couldn't sleep feeling horrible as he recounted what he told her over and over in his head at night. but the extra week gave him enough time to finish the ring now, he also went to go get gray from the guild to get a suit tried on to see which one looked the best. he was hella confused why erza was out to get him, but didn't want to find out as gray helped him get the right suit and what flowers to bring for a apology and for a proposal... you heard right... he was going to propose right after he apologized.

he didn't wear his suit at the moment but had seen levy go upstairs to Lucy's apartment today. he stood outside her apartment waiting if maybe levy can calm lucy down enough to open her window. his prayers were answered as he saw levy open Lucy's windows and went back inside, this was his chance now!

natsu made a run for it as he ran back home to snatch his suit from the hanger and grabbed the ring, the ring was now decorated with 2 blue gems with 1 diamond in between them. they had a beautiful carving around the ring as it held his her initials 'L.D' Lucy Dragneel if she said yes to him... he was nervous but wasn't going to let go of his opportunity now.

natsu looked up as he was nervous about jumping into Lucy's window... no! he already made up his mind he would do this!

natsu climbed up Lucy's window as he first peeked to see if she was inside.. luckily she wasn't in the room..

He sneaked in like a ninja as he closed her bedroom door incase she came to get something. Once he did that he began to stripped his clothes as he put on his suit. It was a elegant black suit with a dressy white buttoned shirt, a loose pink tie around his neck, and some very tight dressy black pants.

He already had the dressy shoes he needed for this as he had saved his he used at the kings ball. He now looked at himself through Lucy's body mirror seeing how good he looked..

"Hmm… not enough… what am I missing..?"

*natsu began to pat his suit again making a rundown on all the things he needed for this to work..*

'Got the flowers, check

Got a beautiful ring, check

Dressed like the devil himself with a nice suit, double check..'

He looked at himself in the mirror one more time as he saw his bangs were droopy, he grinned as he heat them upwards with his fire as he left a new look on his hair..

'Done.. now.. wish me luck..'

Natsu thought to himself as he brought out the first pink bunch of roses that had a smal rim of lily of the garden flowers surrounding them..

the florist said that these both flowers where best meaning for a apology for your significant other, the white lily's represented for truth and honesty, something he should have said from the beginning…

He grabbed the second bunch now as he positioned it behind him that were red roses, with pink and orange honeysuckle…

red was the color of 'love' and where the to-go when one would propose or declare their love. While the pink and orange honeysuckle symbolized his devoted and everlasting love…

And finally, the box with her ring.. he grabbed it as he stuffed it in his pocket.. he took a deep breath in as he tied his tie up now and opened the door…
