TEARS OF THE HEART

The air in the room felt colder than the last time, but that wasn't enough to make my senses dull. I felt someone was in the room with me even though I didn't hear the door open at all. My mind went to Tag'arkh but I figured it was going to take a while before he can recuperate. Ivan was busy with the state affairs so it can't be him. It couldn't be someone I know either because this person entered without a sound but I still felt a presence with me in the room.

"Who's there?" I called out weakly.

I was met with a deafening silence. Fear engulfed me as I tried to turn to see the intruder. The fir from the fire place casted a small orange glow in the room. I was met with a hooded figure standing in the corner, next to where the window was. A sight frown formed on my face as I stared at the hooded figure that stood still, staring at me.
