BRING HER HOME

The pain I was feeling was unbearable, especially at my side. I looked down to see the wound was still oozing blood. I needed to find somewhere to treat it. I clutched my side in agony as I urged my horse forward, the rhythmic pounding of his hooves matching the pounding of my heart. The poison from the spear wound seared through my body but I refused to let it slow me down. The guards were hot on my trail and I knew that I had to keep moving if I wanted to survive.

I stole another glance down at my stomach, where blood was oozing from the wound. The poison had gone deep and I could feel its effects spreading through my body. My vision blurred and my head spun but I gritted my teeth and pushed on.
