RESIGNATION

ARIANNE POV

The air was heavy with tension, crackling with the weight of the impending judgement. My gazed fixed on the accused standing before us. Ravenna stood there, a figure cloaked in oversized clothing that hung loosely on her frame, failing to conceal the small round belly that protruded beneath the fabric. Her hands, small and delicate, were wrapped protectively around the gentle swell, a silent gesture of love and protection I didn't know she possessed.

As she gazed ahead, a look of indifference masked her features, but beneath the facade of stoicism, there lingered a flicker of fear in her eyes. The weight of uncertainty bore down on her, casting a shadow over her once carefree spirit. She seems to know if things didn't go well for her in this trial, it would end badly for her.
