IVAN POV
I raced through the hallways as fast as I could. My heart thundered in my chest, louder than the sound of my boots pounding against the cold, stone floors. I shoved people out of the way, barely registering their startled cries or the dull thud of bodies hitting walls. I didn't care if I injured them in the process; nothing else mattered except reaching her.
A thousand thoughts screamed through my head, each worse than the last. She's been found, Arianne has been found! But technically it wasn't her. Her body had been found in the rumbles of the castle and it was Rissa who had found her.
She had found Arianne! Arianne. Hearing her name in my head was the push I needed, a sharp, painful reminder that I wasn't moving fast enough. I shoved past another group of servants, their startled gasps fading behind me as I launched myself up another flight of stairs.
