Aftermath
"We were so cool!" The four of them said. It was sunday and had been a day after their brawl with Andy and Gears and they were all currently gathered in Jason's living room once again.
They were currently watching a video on the large flat screen tv but it wasn't just any video but footage of their fight and the headlines were:
[Who are these young heroes?]
[The Cypher Squad: Friend or Enemy?]
[How did they gain those incredible abilities?]
[Did they steal advanced tech or is it theirs?]
They were recorded by several people including a few helicopters. The name 'Cypher Squad' had caught on and they already had their own fan base.
The four teenagers were overwhelmed at how popular they had become in less than 24 hours.
"And our rewards were worth it." Jason added as the three boys brought up their holo-screen.
First was Ryan.

His Energy Reserve had also increased by ten.

He had levelled up before and did so again.

This Stat hadn't changed at all and he had no idea what it did so it mattered little to him.

He had the Revive, Strengthen and Custom Skill so nothing changed here. He had also gained two Level Point and gave it to Minato and Finral Roulacase since his portal ability came in handy.
Second was Neo.

In all, he had levelled up once, gained 10 Energy and unlocked a new skill.
Third was Jason.

He had levelled up once, increased his Energy Reserve by 10 and unlocked a Basic Skill. He had also recovered the special metal called Yunec from the broken parts of Gears and was already getting to work on a special project.
As for Jane, she had retrieved the tail laser and added it to a special gauntlet on her suit which was one step closer to an improvement in her capabilities.
"We're gonna have to be much more careful now." Jason added and brought them out of their amazement.
"Yeah, you're right. No one can know who we are.."
"Or the Curse will find out about our families."
"Not to mention the government and the Gyro."
Jane, Ryan and Jason did a little back and forth and this soured Neo's mood.
"Ah, man!" He said and they laughed.
"The first thing to start with is creating a dampener for the Watch's energy signature." Ryan reminded them.
"Jason, can you and Jane use the spare Yunec to do something about the Dampener? I would like to help but I'm better with coding." Ryan asked them and Jason nodded.
"How long will it take?" Ryan asked.
"I've never actually worked with Yunec before. It takes up much more time than regular steel. I would say about a month if we work nonstop." Jason informed Ryan and he nodded.
"If that's how long it takes, then first of all we need to get better at fighting and become in sync." Ryan said.
"That'll have to be tomorrow 'cos I'm cooking for family dinner today. Our parents are working overtime." Neo said already heading out of the Mansion.
"Yeah and we have to work on the Dampener too. We'll go to the Mech club's room."
"See you later." Jane added to Jason's statement as they walked out of the room, leaving Ryan all alone.
"Ugh. Then I guess I'll have to go work on that game." Ryan said, picking up his blue Compartment cross-bag with the number 9 written on it in grey and headed out too.

Ryan got home. His parents welcomed him back but he just ignored them and headed up stairs. He opened up the door to his room and turned on the light. The walls were a cream white with a few posters of a couple of animes as well as a table with anime merch such as eye lenses and fictional weapons.
He pulled out his computer from a locked box under his bed because he cherished it so much. It was a present his parents got him on his eleventh birthday.
He placed it on his desk and then opened up his laptop. He switched it on and then put in his password.

It loaded in and he then opened up the coding for his game and began to add a few things.
The Game he was creating was an adventure game with three different characters to choose from use. The main plot of the game was to get stronger by defeating opponents, gaining allies, enemies and different artifacts while also solving the mystery of the character's origins.
He had not given the game a name yet but he had worked hard on it, two years to be precise. He had given Neo, Jane and Jason to test run and they all thought it was good, the problem was there were too many bugs and at one point, the game would crash. But Ryan didn't give up yet. He kept trying and the bugs that would pop up actually helped him add some interesting features to it such as powers and characters.
He was currently working on his favourite character called Asten. He was a young boy at the age of 16 just like the other two characters. Instead of being a Mage or a Weapon User, he was something he called a Beast Master. He was working on the beast he could summon which was a large green salamander and giving it different abilities such as invisibility and fire breath.
"No, no!" A bug had occured and the Salamander began to burn up into fire. Ryan tapped away, trying to stop the bug but he couldn't stop it.
"Wait! This is.. better." The Salamander had changed in appearance. It was two times bigger and it's tail had black spikes running up to the tip. The claws also became sharper and it's entire skin apart from it's eyes was blood red.
"I could make this a different transformation." Ryan then tapped away and added the transformation to the code and successfully did.
Ryan exited the app and then looked to the side of his laptop's screen and saw the time.

He had come home at around eleven so he had already spent three hours on his laptop and he hadn't even felt the time pass.
A growl from his stomach indicated to himself that he was hungry. Ryan was about to go down the stairs when he percieved something in his room. It was food, spaghetti and meatballs to be correct, that he could tell.
He traced the food to the front of his room door. There was also a bottle of water there too.
"When did this get here? She probably dropped it here quietly so she wouldn't disturb me." By 'She', he meant his adoptive mother.
Ryan quickly took the food from the ground, sat at the edge of his bed and began to munch down on it. In less than 15 minutes, he was already done with the dish and was about to go down and keep it in the kitchen when...

And they were coming from the roof.
That was strange and what was even more strange was when he heard a ding sound coming from the Manga Watch tucked into his sleeve.
Ryan commanded for it to bring up the holo screen and just a single line of words was enough to frighten him.
[An enemy is near]
Ryan got up from his bed, opened and closed his room door, then rushed down the stairs. In less than a minute, Ryan was already out of the house and went into a dark, empty alley.
He brought up the Holo-screen again and the message was still there but he still couldn't see them until..

There it was again and it was coming from the roofs.
"Who could that be? The Curse and it sounds like there's two of them. Well either way.."

Ryan transformed. He gained a black tight uniform with a green and black kimono above it. He also now had black hair with a red tint and red eyes. He also worked a pair of white earrings with a red sun symbol on it and a long, black sword.
"I need to take them out." Cypher said, jumping onto a roof.

Cypher sniffed and saw two red threads in the air, moving towards a particular direction.
"Got ya!" Cypher smiled, running in the direction of the threads.
