Chapter 0 "She is my fiancée"

In a church in country SK...

"Do you take Miss Kim Da-Eun as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" The priest asked as he blessed the couple and joined their hands together...

The Groom looked at her and smiled, her eyes shining as if filled with moisture to break out at any moment... She looked like the happiest bride she was... turning her head around to meet his eyes...

He looked into her eyes and vowed "I do"

The cheers erupted from the family and friends witnessing their most happy moment...

The priest then turned to look at her and repeated the same words... The groom and everyone present waited eagerly for the bride to say her vows...

Kim Da-Eun looked at the man standing in front of her... the man she chose to marry... who made a promise to make her happy and stay with her forever...

She looked into his brightly shining eyes and opened her mouth to make the vow, when suddenly the doors of the church were pushed open and a proud voice sounded behind them "I object..."

As soon as the words fell everyone turned around to look… Kim Da-Eun also turned to look and saw the handsome young man who just came and declared his objection…

She looked at him and found that he looked a little familiar and was trying hard to remember who he was, when the man standing next to her suddenly spoke "And if I may ask... who might you be to object to our marriage?"

Everyone present looked at the groom, then at the bride and finally at the man who just entered, and started to murmur among themselves...

Groom's mother stood up and stepped forward as she saw that the man kept staring at her daughter-in-law... Suspicions started to make way in her heart... she wanted to know who this young man was? And why'd he keep looking at Da-Eun since the moment he interrupted them...

"Why don't you answer what my son asked you just now? Then we'll all find out about the reason why you objected to the wedding and how valid your reasons are?"

After hearing what the woman asked him, he gave her a fleeting glance and once again turned his attention to Da-Eun, who kept staring at him and looked as if she was trying to make a guess at who he was...

He looked at her with a serious face, if not impossible, the look in his eyes was able to kill someone with just a single glance..

"Why are you taking so long to remember who I am? I thought you'd be able to keep our promise to get married and wait for me to come back! But it looks like, you were just playing with my feelings and made empty promises to me…"

Da-Eun felt her heartbeat increase, her breath stuck in her lungs, making it hard for her to keep breathing properly.. She wanted to say something but no words were coming out.. She felt a chill run down her spine as she looked into those beautiful ocean like eyes..

Those eyes made her remember someone who had similar eyes.. but she was not able to pinpoint at who he was.. Her eyebrows furrowed and her hands started to shiver.. She broke free from the grasp of the man holding her hands, and walked a few steps towards the young man standing tall in front of her and stopped..

"Who are you? I don't know why you objected to the marriage, but let me tell you I don't know you al all.. maybe you came to the wrong address and took me as someone else! Because, as long as I can remember, I never promised anyone that I'd get married with them.. so I hope you find the right person and let us continue with the wedding.."

Da-eun finally managed to find some courage and let out the words that she thought were right..

The man squinted his eyes at her and took a few steps.. within a few steps he was standing right in front of her, at a hands distance..

He was more than a head taller than her, even with her wearing five inches heels, when he looked down at her from above..

He held her hand and turned around to looks at all the people, that were looking at him and Da-eun with expectant eyes to get an answer, and announced in a loud and firm voice.. "She is my fiancée.."

Silence fell inside the church as everyone looked at the both of them.. everyone was too stunned to even say a word.. The groom that was almost forgotten, quickly walked with long legs and stood in front of them..

"Do you think we'll believe whatever nonsense you spout out of your mouth?" After that he looked behind the young man and met eyes with Da-eun and continued "Da-eun, only you can tell everyone that what this man said is not true.. make it clear to everyone present that you have no relation with him.."

Da-eun felt her heart tightening and said "I don't know who he is.. I've never made any promises to anyone.." She stopped speaking after just a few words.. Her own words sounded foreign to her for some unknown reason..

The young man looked at her as heartbreak flashed through his eyes, but he soon found his composure..

He then turned to look at the groom standing behind Da-eun and took out a red booklet from the inner pocket of his windbreaker jacket and showed it to him.. "Look at this yourself.. we've already registered our marriage.. but unfortunately something happened and my fiancée left my side, after getting angry at me.. so, we had to postpone our wedding ceremony"

The young man then looked at her, and walked out of the church holding her left hand in his right hand, without giving anyone any more chances to question him or stop him from taking him fiancée away with him...

The groom was too shocked to even react before they'd already left…

The young man took Da-eun to his car and made her sit inside the car.. he then walked around and opened the door to her left side to sit beside her.. After a few seconds he let out three words to the driver in a cold voice "To our home"

Da-eun turned her head to look at him and asked with her teeth clenched.. "Who are you? Why do you have to marriage registration booklet? I don't remember signing any.." she furrowed her brows as she felt confused, annoyed, angry, and frustrated at what he did..

She was feeling many kinds of emotion at the same time and was thinking about ways to make him let her got at once... A few seconds ago she was feeling too shocked and was not quick to react and struggle free when he dragged her out of the church and made her sit inside the car..

Now, she was regretting at her own foolishness..

The young man kept his gaze to the front and said in a low and cold voice "It's your problem how you're going to remind yourself about it? I'll give you a hint to make things a little easier for you 'Fourteen years ago from today'…"
