Chapter 14 "Pay attention to you"

Da-eun, Yuna and Aldo walked out of the café after they finished their coffee… It was 6:30 PM when they finally left..

Aldo looked at the car parked outside the café.. he turned to Da-eun and Yuna, and asked.. "If you'd like, I can drop you both to your houses.. what do you guys say?"

Yuna looked at Da-eun and said.. "Eunaa I think you should go with Aldo, I'll manage on my own.. you know my house is not that far from here.." Da-eun knew why Yuna was warry to let Aldo drop her home..

Her father had told the neighbours to keep eyes on the whereabouts of her family.. he was a good man in the neighbours' eyes… who cared about his family's safety… but the truth was, he just wanted to keep them under his surveillance.. so that they couldn't report him and he can freely threaten them..

And also kept a close eye on whoever they met on a daily basis.. who went inside and who came out of the house.. it was like a prison for Yuna and her mother.. But her mother couldn't defy him and had to tolerate all the abuse silently..

Da-eun nodded slightly and gave Yuna a reassuring smile.. then turned to look at Aldo and said "It's alright Aldo… maybe next time.. Her family's a little strict and doesn't allow boy-friends to come home.." Da-eun looked at how Aldo looked a little disappointed and continued hurriedly..

"So, you just need to take us to the nearby bus stop and I'll make sure she catches the bus to her house and then you can drop me to my house.. how's that? Only if you agree.."

Da-eun agreed for Aldo to drop her to her house because she didn't want to reject his kind offer… it was already awkward with Yuna not letting him drop her to her house.. So, Da-eun thought about accepting his kind offer..

Aldo, who was feeling dejected because of Yuna's rejection, finally smiled after hearing Da-eun agreeing to his offer.. he nodded his head, made a hand gesture for them to get inside the car..

After getting inside the car Aldo said to Francis "Take us to the nearby bus stop.."

It took them only five minutes to reach the bus stop.. they waited for the bus to arrive.. Suddenly Da-eun remembered something and said to Yuna "Don't forget to practice soccer.. or you'll bring shame to our class.. haha.."

Yuna looked at the snickering Da-eun and pinched her cheek "Don't laugh too much.. or the one bringing shame would be you, not me.. hehe.." Yuna giggled looking at Da-eun's face that was pinched hard and had turned into a half red tomato..

Da-eun rubbed her cheek as she furrowed her eyebrows at Yuna "It hurts.. you know that I don't like my cheeks being pulled or pinched.. still you do that.."

Da-eun tried to do the same to Yuna but she dodged and laughed at Da-eun's failed attack.. Aldo looked at them with amusement in his eyes as they kept on going back and forth with their little play session..

Da-eun was about to catch Yuna when the bus arrived… Yuna bid her goodbyes to both of them, only the two of them left at the bus stop..

Aldo clasped his hands together and said to Da-eun with a smile on his face "Let's get inside the car and you can share your house location to Francis.. so that you won't have to pay too much attention on the way.. you understand what I mean, right?"

Aldo covered his face with his hands to hide his embarrassment.. he couldn't even believe himself at what he just said to Da-eun..

Da-eun looked at him and started laughing… she was quite amused at how easy it was for Aldo to blush..

Da-eun finally stopped laughing only after a few seconds and held his hands to remove them off of his face… Aldo looked at her from above and said apologetically "I'm sorry Da-eun.. I don't know why I said that? I hope you don't mind.. aahh.. I'm so stupid.." He bit his lower lip hard to suppress the urge to slap himself..

Da-eun shook her head and said with a smile "I don't mind.. and I'll not pay attention to the road.. I'll only pay attention to you.. haha" And she again burst out laughing..

Aldo looked at her laughing at her heart's content.. he was mesmerized by how beautiful she looked in his eyes while laughing so freely.. he felt his heart pounding hard against his chest.. he placed his right hand on his heart, afraid she might hear, how loud it was beating..

Da-eun got inside the car and gave Francis the location to her house.. she waited for Aldo to get inside but after a few seconds passed when he still stood outside.. daydreaming..

Da-eun looked at him and said "Get inside already.. or we're going to leave you here.. although Francis is your man, I'll bribe him by telling him your embarrassing pranks that you pulled on me and then got them turned to yourself.. that'd be a nice story to tell your father I guess.."

Da-eun said as she teased Aldo by trying to make him blush again.. Aldo heard what she said and quickly got inside the car and said to Da-eun pleadingly "Please.. Eunaa.. you can't do that to me.. we became friends only today.. and now you are trying to get me beaten in my father's hands.."

Da-eun thought that he looked like a puppy while pleading and her heart turned soft "Alright… Alright.. calm down.. I was just teasing you.. it's not like I'd really do something like that.. I just like how you look like a lost puppy with that face.."

Aldo felt his heart skip a beat.. he stared at Da-eun, who took out her phone smiling, not knowing that she had made his heart go racing with just a few words.."

Francis noticed how Aldo was staring at her.. and found it amusing.. it was the first time that he looked like a lost soul and there was not that usual serious face that he kept every time when they were home.. it was something new to him and he eagerly wanted to tell his fellas about it…

Francis cleared his throat to help his young master get out of the trance he was in "Ahem.. Ahem.."

Aldo snapped out of his staring session and looked at Francis and cleared his throat too "Ahem"

Da-eun found it funny that they both had a bad throat at the same time.. she took out the water bottle from her school bag and gave it to Francis "Here.. drink some water.."

Francis took it and was about to take a sip when he heard Aldo say "Why only him? I also have a bad throat you know.. ahem.. ahem.."

Da-eun and Francis both looked at him at the same time…
