Chapter 31 "Fainted"

Aldo paused and rubbed his face..

Yuna raised her head and looked at Aldo.. his eyes turning a little red from the corner.. she felt her heart tightening with every word he said.. She wanted to say something but felt like it was not the right time and stayed silent..

Aldo took a deep breathe and tried to stabilize his emotions before continuing.. "I'm sorry.. but.. ah.. I think I need some time to process everything.. yeah.. so, I'll get going now.."

Yuna saw a car stopped beside them.. Aldo pulled the door open and got inside.. he closed the door and the car left within a few seconds..

Da-eun felt bad for her friend and wanted to give her a hug of encouragement.. she only took a step and felt her head spinning..

Da-eun held her head, that felt like it was going to burst from the sudden pain.. she spread her hands for some kind of support but found nothing to hold onto, and staggered..

Noah saw Da-eun staggering and realized that something was amiss.. he strode towards her and held her hand.. "Da-eun.. Da-eun.. what happened?" He called out her name but she was not able to hear his voice, her ears were buzzing with a strange noise..

When she felt someone holding her hand, she hugged that small support tightly.. she bent on her knees and held Noah tightly, with her eyes closed..

Noah saw that the situation was not looking good, he quickly took out his phone and made a call "Get the car.. right now.."

On the other side, Elio heard Noah's cold voice and understood that something was not right.. he quickly drove the car that was parked around behind the corner of the alley..

Noah looked at his surroundings and narrowed his eyes.. he felt eyes on him.. He tried his best to shield Da-eun with his small body but knew that he couldn't properly..

Yuna saw Da-eun holding onto Noah and felt that something was wrong with her.. she came almost running towards her and held her from her shoulders..

"Eunaa.. what happened to you? Eunaa, don't scare me.." she tried shaking her shoulders and saw Da-eun's hands dropping down..

Yuna got scared when she saw this and started crying.. she looked up to Noah and said with her voice shaking "Flynn.. I.. I think.. s-she fainted.. we should take her to the hospital.."

Noah heard her and looked at her, then at Da-eun.. he saw her head dropping down and quickly supported it with his little hands..

"You don't have to worry about it.. you should go home.. I'll take care of it.. go.." Noah saw a car approaching them and said to Yuna in an urgent voice.. He didn't want her to get involved in their mess, so he told her to go home..

Yuna heard him and saw the car that had just parked near them.. She shook her head and said "No.. how can I leave her like this.. I'll go with you.. take me with you.. I'll take care of her.." Yuna tried to negotiate with Noah..

Noah's eyes turned cold as he looked at her with his sharp eyes.. "Your father... is going to come today.. so, go on.. you are not needed.. I'll let Da-eun know when she wakes up.."

He saw Yuna's eyes open wide with shock.. she was trying to process what Noah said in her mind.. "But.."

Noah interrupted her, saying with coldness in his voice "You'll only be a burden.. now go.." with that he saw Elio running towards him..

"Young Master.. I'll help miss get in the car.." Elio saw that Da-eun had passed out and Noah was supporting her head.. he quickly bent down and picked her up easily in his arms..

Elio walked towards the car with long strides.. He made Da-eun lay in the backseat and closed the door.. and was about to go open the door for Noah when he heard a voice in his ear piece.. "You have to get out of there quickly.. we will back you up.. There's a suspicious car at a few meters distance from you.."

Elio heard this and pulled open the door for Noah to get inside.. after that he quickly got in his seat and started the car... the car left the ally and another car started following them..

Elio said to Noah.. "Young Master.. a car is following us.. I'll try to shake it off.. our backup is here so we'll be safe for now.."

Noah heard him as he looked at his phone.. he had already hacked into the surveillance cameras and was keeping an eye on the car.. "I know.. get the car on the highway first.. then there's a small turn after five hundred meters on the right.. turn there and we'll change the car.. go faster.."

Elio nodded his head and quickly conveyed what he said to their backup team.. He was driving too fast.. it took him only a minute or more to get the car on the highway.. the car was approaching right behind them..

Elio increased the speed and looked at the traffic lights.. the light was going to turn red, when he suddenly took a right turn where Noah told him to.. just as he took the turn the lights turned red..

The car that was following, stopped there.. there was heavy traffic on the other side.. so, it was impossible to cross that and keep following..

Elio saw this but didn't slow down.. he quickly made a left turn at the end of the alley.. there was another car waiting for them..

They quickly got out of the car and Noah saw his man standing there waiting for them.. He strode towards them and said "You know what to do.. it's not that much trouble this time.. they're just trying to find out the address.. we just have to keep them away from the house.. Rick.. it's good that you're back.."

Rick nodded his head and smiled a little before saying "Young master.. you don't have to worry about it.. we'll take care of everything.."

Elio had just laid Da-eun down in the backseat and closed the door when he heard their conversation.. He rolled his eyes at Rick.. he walked towards them and said to Rick "Yeah yeah.. we know you'll take care of everything.. our dependable Rick.."

Rick heard this and he also rolled his eyes at Elio before extending his hand towards him "Haha.. it's been a few months since we last met.. and you're still being a bully here.."

Elio smiled and held his hand to shake it, but the next second he closed the distance and gave him a hug "It's good that you're back.."

Rick returned the hug and smiled.. Noah saw this and shook his head "Alright.. you'll get your time after this.. now let's go.."

As he said that, they got in the cars and drove away..
