Chapter 35 "It's about time he came back"

Noah sat beside her and said "Da-eun.. calm down a bit.. take a deep breath.. yes.. like that.. good girl.." He saw Da-eun taking deep breaths and the changes that were developing at a rapid speed, to reduce again..

Grandfather looked at her with his eyes narrowed and thought 'This was not how I thought things to be.. we only knew about her eyes changing colour but never thought that her hair would also change colour and turn light purple.. Is this something to do with her body? I have to find out no matter what.. otherwise things would get ugly if 'they' found out about the other changes in her body.. God knows what powers are hiding in this tiny body of hers..'

He saw her hair return to the usual and only her eyes remained purple.. looks like she was not able to change them back yet… she'd have to learn how to control them pretty quickly then..

Da-eun felt like her surroundings were going to envelop in an invisible force that was seeping out of her pores.. her bones were aching.. She said while struggling a little "I feel like something is flowing out of my skin.. something strange has surrounded my body.. it looks like it wants to tell me something.. Grandpa.. what is it? Why do I feel a strange connection to this force that is around me.. I feel some ripples of power in my stomach.. and my head feels heavy.. can you tell me what is it? And why am I not afraid of it?"

Da-eun told him what she was feeling in her body.. It was natural for her to feel her head getting heavy and aching.. What made her grandfather and Noah worried was that she was feeling something in her stomach..

Her Grandfather thought to put it aside for now and continue with their conversation.. "It's normal for you to feel like this.. it's because you have finally unsealed the first layer of the seal that was restricting your powers.. that's why the changes are happening.. so you don't have to feel scared… we are here to help you with this and we'll help you out with anything that's bothering you.."

Da-eun heaved a sigh of relief and felt her heart to calm down after her Grandfather reassured her.. she had many questions in that she wanted to ask.. it seemed like things were not as simple as they looked..

She raised her head and looked at her grandfather and remembered their conversation and asked "What happened after my mother entered the house?"

"After that the man that held her father hostage. turned to look at her and started walking towards her to capture her.. he never thought that you grandfather that was so badly injured would then take the chance and strike him.. after the man got hit in his head your grandfather held your mother's hand and they both ran away.. after that day, no one knows what happened to your grandfather's family.. when the commotion settled down and the attackers left after looting the valuables, your grandfather went back to the clan..

They searched day and night for anyone that survived.. but there was not a single family member, neither alive nor dead.. it was like there was no one other than him and his daughter from the start.. all of them vanished into thin air.. he went back dejected.. since that day your grandfather went into seclusion and your mother married the man she fell in love with.."

Her grandfather took a deep breath before taking a sip of water as he felt his throat getting dry again "After a few years of trying your parents finally had you.. they went to live a normal life.. your mother had told your father about herself.. and he accepted her as she was.. they were happy.. until one day.."

Da-eun felt all kind of emotions surging forward.. Her mother and her clan went through all that.. she never knew about it.. she was in the dark all these years and always thought that her parents were like normal human beings.. she never knew of the hardships her mother went through.. she was an unfilial daughter..

She felt bad for her grandfather too.. who was longing for his family and went into seclusion after trying so hard searching for them, but returned empty handed.. the treasures he collected all his life with his hard work went into the hands of those vicious attackers..

She was angry.. she wanted to help her grandfather in his search for his family.. she decided in her heart to get stronger and avenge her clan.. it was only natural for her to do that..

Da-eun, who was listening to everything her grandfather was saying, was feeling emotions that she never felt in a long time.. she was feeling longing for her parents.. she was anxious for them.. she felt worried, scared.. she looked at the old man sitting in front of her.. his face was contorted with many emotions.. sadness.. anxiety.. fear.. regret..

She shook her head a little as she thought that she must have read his face wrong.. but when she again took a look at him, she was certain that she was not wrong.. He was indeed feeling regret.. but why?

Noah felt her hold on his hand tighten.. he saw her looking at grandfather with confusion filled in her eyes.. he knew that she wanted to know more.. but this was not the right time to let her know.. otherwise nobody knows what'd happen with the unknown powers inside her body.. they had not yet investigated about it and it was something new for them.. so, it was normal for them to figure it out instead of taking any risk at this moment..

He understood why his grandfather stopped midsentence.. He was also not in the favour to tell her everything so early.. there were other things that they had to do..

Noah finally broke the silence and said "Grandpa.. I think we should do something about her eyes first.. otherwise it's going to cause a big problem if she went to school like this.."

Grandfather nodded his head as he looked at the both of them "You are right.. we have more pressing matters at hand.. Da-eun.. I don't know how to do it myself but we can go find someone.. and it's about time that person came out of his cave.."
