A Dinner Request

Their gaze heated as they stared eyes fixed on each other.

The words which escaped her lips was not what he was expecting to hear. 'I hate you'. It sounded so strongly and determined.

But being who he is, luckily it wasn't enough to spite an expression from him, though he was also caught off guard by those words.

Non of them spoke after the vocal bomb was thrown. Their gazes still locked into each other's, each wondering what Is going on in the mind of the other.

Vionna was totally vexed and crazed right now. He didn't even let out an expression atleast to show how he took her words, that alone only fueled her anger more. Because to her it meant nothing concerning her is enough to shake him, even if it means just a little.

Meanwhile the tiniest thing about him is enough to make her entire being go haywire and loose focus, concentration and her trails of thoughts, loose herself even.

Every single fibre of bone in her was drowning in a frustrating pressure. She didn't know what to do, it was annoying her to the core.

One part of her mind was whispering for her to let it out, but the other part was against it. 'No! she won't let him know the effects he had on her. It will be a huge slap to her dignity as a proud woman.' Her pride was everything for her. 'Let the game Begin.' She Mentally said with her chin raised. Not sure what particular game this is, or who wins or fall victim.

With this in mind, she strengthened her resolve, walked further like nothing happened and quietly went into his walk in closet and picked up some clothes before walking out with them in her hand. She quietly spread them on the bed and went into his bathroom.

Liam watched her with his normal expressionless face, but his mind was just echoing one word. 'Strange.'

Not long after the bathroom door swung open, revealing her coming out. "Your bath is ready." She said, imitating his cold voice.

Liam only stared at her with one brow raised and oh men! it made him so sexy. That was the first ever reaction she got from him since knowing him from day one.

Suddenly she felt she should do more strange things that could elicit such reactions from him, but then again. Her talk with herself came rushing back like a slap in her face—This time not her pride.

She shook her head frantically, coming back to her senses. "Is the anything you would want me to do for you, Young Master?"

His brow was still raised High, forming a perfect arc. He just gazed at her steadily, trying to figure out what is wrong with her, or could it be the after effect of the sickness taking a toll on her. Then her question rang in his ears, he thought of what he could tell her to keep her. He didn't want her to go away yet and he didn't know why.

Liam ran his glances around, looking for what specific task to delegate to her that will keep her around till he is done with his shower.

Fortunately, his eyes caught the clothes she placed on his bed. "My clothes, I need you to iron them properly." He replied.

"Which one Young Master?"

"Anyone of your choice." He stated finally before taking huge strides into the bathroom leaving Vionna startled.

"Huh?" She asked no one in particular as her eyes trailed his moving figure.

She quietly did as he instructed, she went through his line of clothes and picked perfect ones which were likable to her. She placed them on the pressing board and immediately connected the iron.

Ten minutes later,

Vionna was still busy ironing the clothes when the door to the bathroom made a sound, indicating that it is being open.

Vionna instantly stilled, her relaxed posture became tense. The image of last night kept replaying. What he did after he was done with his bath—though literally what they did.

The footsteps were approaching nearer, just like last time. She could only close her eyes and prayed that he wasn't planning on doing what she was dreadfully thinking of. Her heart was already panting for the marathon she did not run. She wished he couldn't hear it.

Slowly and slowly, the steps faded away to her surprise. She hurriedly turned around to see, and she saw him standing at his bed point , picking up the clothes she kept for him to put on after his shower.

Liam was only wrapped in his towel—As usual. The moment he existed the bathroom, he noticed her tenseness, it was obvious from her stiff shoulders. He knew what she was dreading and honestly he felt like doing that again when just looking at her back. He felt like holding her small frame to his large one.

He doesn't know why though, but he just felt like it. He forgot to tell Zeke about this so he could help him out. He inwardly made a mental note about this. Giving her back one last stare he turn around towards the direction where his clothes laid. He just spared her today.

"Is dinner ready yet?." His voice echoed out making her flinch.

Vionna turn to him but he was busy with his clothes, nonchalantly. "Errhm I'm not sure yet, I will go find out when I'm done so I can come call you down."

"Is my Dad back?" He asked again.

Vionna turned again with furrowed brows. 'Since when did this devil started becoming vocal with me? Harden your heart Vee don't fall for this.'

"No not yet." She replied before going back to ironing.

"When dinner is ready, bring mine to my room. And yours too." He spoke again.

"Alright...wait what?" Vionna paused her actions when his last sentence got registered in her brain.

"You heard me." Liam replied without giving her a single glance.

"Why?." She asked confused.

Hearing this question, he turned to her direction, he had this inexplicable gaze. "Because I want to eat with you."

And boom!! came the shock. Her eyes widen same as her lips. 'Wow! this is just Wow!' Her mind screamed. Just when she thought and made her mind up to avoid anything that had to do with him and just focus on what she came for. But it had to go this Way. The Way she did not plan for it to go. Why is everything always going against her?.
