Chapter 151

"No, I really can't wait. I'm already so late; you will be here till I'm back, right?" Jack asked her

"Well I'm not so sure about that, do you want me to stay?" she teased him

"Of course I do" Jack planted a kiss on her forehead and left for work

Cassie sighed deeply, she wished she could stay but she couldn't, those bastards would keep tracking her till she gave them their money, she couldn't afford to put his life in danger like that just like that

Jack stormed into the company, he was already so late Chris had a meeting scheduled for this morning

"Hey cat where's the president?" he asked her

"He's in the meeting room with some of the board members and some investors for the new product launch

"Oh shit, thanks I will head there right away," he said

He went to the office to be sure Chris took everything that he would be needing for the meeting

He found some documents and picked them up, thank God he chose to check here first

He then made his way to the meeting room, he went inside and found that some team managers were already doing the presentation

As soon Chris saw him coming in he gave him a hard glare

Soon the meeting was over and Chris went back to his office

"Jack see me in my office" Christopher ordered him

"Yes sir," Jack said and followed him to his office

"Why are you late?" he asked without looking at him

"I had too much to drink last night so I woke up he said

"Is that so, I know this not you so I will believe your excuse this should not repeat itself," he said

"It won't sir" Jack replied to him

"You can go," he said and Jack left

After Jack left Chris resumed working, he had a lot of paperwork to sort out, but he couldn't concentrate, his head, mind, and body were filled with the thought of Jane, and even during the meeting he could hardly hear a thing that was being said, thank God Jack still made it to go the meeting

He would ask for a summary of what was discussed

He tried harder to work and do something but nothing was working, he just wanted to see Jane hold and hug her, he kept checking the time but there was still no sign of her

' What if she was still with him and won't come ' he thought

He needed to do something to apologize to her but he didn't know how he had tried all the things he could do but all to no avail

He tried to remember all those things he usually did when he was with Angel, those things made her happy, but all those times she was pretending to be in love with him

So he really couldn't tell whether she loved it or not, he shook his head, enough of thinking about Angel, it was just like he was opening up old wounds

He was going to try it anyway, he was tired of her giving him silent testaments

Later in the afternoon, Patrica dressed up to go to the hospital, she had only been there about there times ever since she got married to Mike and she didn't care to go at all

But she didn't have a choice she was tired of them using her, this was the last favor she would ever help them with

They helped her with her fake pregnancy which led to her getting married to Mike, now she was going to help them with swapping the DNA test result, they were even

She took her car key and drove out of the house, she stopped at a restaurant to grab pizza, this would be her excuse to see him

She got to the hospital about twenty-five minutes later, she walked in and the receptionist immediately recognized her

"Good afternoon madam" she greeted him

"Good afternoon, where's my husband?" she asked with authority

"Oh the doctor is in the operating room at the moment will you like me to tell him you are here," she said

"No it's fine, I'm just here to have lunch with him, I will just wait for him at his office, and one more thing do you know if my husband received any test results from the lab?" she asked

"Why do you ask ma'am the thing is I'm not allowed to give information to nonstaff" she explained

"No it's fine, you see I've been having symptoms for some days now so my husband took my samples, I think I might be pregnant I'm just so curious" she lied

"Oh that, and that's so sweet but the doctor hasn't received such at least not that I know of, the only test result that I know of is a DNA test, not pregnancy, I hope your test comes out positive," she said

"I hope so too, excuse me," Patricia said and left

Patric quickly made her way to Mike's office, she needed to get this done as soon as possible before she got caught

She covered the windows just in case

She placed the pizza gently on the table and started to search she looked very well and made sure she left everything the way she found it

She finally found the result it was at the top of the table she quickly took out the fake result and replaced it with the original one, she wanted to open it to check the result but she didn't bother she didn't have that time, she arranged everything neatly and left the office.
