The feeling of a closed space keeping her still. Opening her heavy eye lids light pours in. Her eye's trying to get adjusted as her vision slowly clears. Finding herself in what seems to be a glass coffin. Pushing up on the top the glass ceiling lifts as she pulls herself up into a sitting position. Looking around is a great hall of white and gold, glamorous decor and furniture displayed across the room.
"Crash"
Looking over to the sound of shattered glass is a young man standing with his mouth agape. Standing still in shock like a statue.
"Hm?" she stares at him tilting her head as there gazes met, his shiny blue eye's staring right into her scarlet red one's
"w-w-w-w-w-" She sat there as he kept stuttering as stiff as a statue. Getting out of the glass coffin she walks over to him.
"Um hello?" Waving her hand in front of his face she finally seem to get him back to his senses.
"W-When did you get over here?!" He said falling backward in surprise.
"Oh, I'm sorry for startling you are you alright?" She said
"I-I am." He said quickly, still seemingly in shock.
She reaches her hand out in front of him. "Let me help you up."
The young man although alert grabbed her hand and was helped stand up.
"So um, where am I?" She asked while walking over to a chair and sitting down with the young man across from her.
"You don't know?" He said with a hint of concern in his voice
He sat there thinking for a minute.
"Have you ever heard of something called gates?" He asked
She sat there for a second thinking.
"Nope, doesn't sound familiar. " She said calmly
He had a clear look of surprise, distrust, and concern written on his face.
"Well, where we are right now is the inside of one of said gates. Its a portal to another Dimension of sorts. This is the treasure room that forms after the boss is killed, and also where I found you inside the glass coffin."
She sat there for a second to think, she remembered the sadness she felt after the loss of her children and then falling asleep, but she had no recollection of anything called a gate, or the coffin she woke up in.
"So how do we get out of here?" She said as she stood up.
"Um, well after collecting whatever treasures are in this room, heading back to the start there's a portal signifying the boss of the dungeon has been defeated, we can leave that way, but If I may ask who are you? My names Blake by the way."
"Oh excuse me for my poor manners, I am Lily Von Heart, God of Elantria and Empress Dowager of Claudia."
Blake stood for a second, processing what he just heard, but he decided to give up on understanding this strange woman.
"Well okay Lily, let me collect the treasures of this room and I'll guide you to the entrance so we can both leave."
"Collect" Blake said as he reached his hand out, suddenly objects flew into a ring on his right hand, clearing out the room of the treasures that had scattered the floor before.
Lily looked in amazement, she had never seen such a thing, and no incantation for magic at that, just a single word.
"How amazing, magic must have developed leaps and bounds since I was last awake."
"I'm not sure what you mean by that, but magic has definitely gone a long way from a few years ago when the gates started to open, do you have a system?" Blake said as they started walking towards the entrance.
"A system? Whats that?"
"Its like a game interface, try saying status window, if you have one it should pop up."
She didn't know what he meant by "Game" but she decided to listen to him and do as he said.
"Status Window..." She stared for a bit in front of herself but then looked back at him. "Nothing appeared.
"hmm I guess your not a player then, oh that's what we call people who have systems by the way."
And they finally reached the entrance, waiting for them was a portal, it was blue and pink, the colors dancing and swirling in a beautiful harmony. Blake walked into it first and so did Lily right behind him. Stepping out of the portal was like stepping into another world for Lily, A dark night sky, Buildings that pierced the clouds, carriages that didn't need horses and were much faster, the city lights were dazzling to her.
"GUILD LEADER!" Suddenly a woman jumped at Blake grabbing onto him. I'm so glad your okay, I was so worried when I heard you went into an S rank gate alone!" The woman said while grabbing onto him.
Suddenly a wall of blinding flashes were firing as people held some sort of object in there hand. Lily blocked her eye's from the light. Questions were getting yelled to the point it was blending together but one question was louder than the rest that took everyone's attention who was focused on Blake.
"Who is the girl who came out of the Gate with you!" This caught everyone's attention, even the woman who was clinging onto Blake right next to lily didn't notice her out of worry for Blake. Suddenly everyone was asking that same question, Blake who went inside an S rank Gate alone, suddenly came out of the same gate with a beauty.
Blake stood for a moment not knowing what to do in this sudden situation before the lady holding onto him acted first. "We will not be taking questions right now, Guild Leader Blake just got out of an S ranked gate and would like to rest." Grabbing both their hands and quickly leading them to a car between the reporters, and driving away.
"Thanks Ava, you really got me out of a rough patch there." He said chuckling rubbing the back of his head.
"Of course, that's what I'm here for, but I'm also curious about the woman who's in the back seat of our car right now."
"Haha, understandable, well I'll start from the beginning." Blake proceeded to tell the story of the last few hours. About how he went into the gate, fought the monsters and killed the boss, and what happened in the treasure room.
Ava was quiet for a bit as she thought about everything she just heard, this was Blake of all people, she knew he wouldn't lie to her.
"So, your name is Lily Von Heart, God of Elantria?"
Lily nodded her head in confirmation.
"And what do you mean by God?" Ava asked, although Blake was just as interested.
"I'm a deity, god, or whatever you want to call me. A higher being is the best way to put it."
Blake and Ava were stunned, they were just told that there sharing a car with a supposed god, that came out of a gate, how could that be possible?
Lily chuckled at there expressions. "This word is far different from mine though, I don't know how I ended up In one of those things you call gates." Lily said staring out her window.
Gazing at the stars Lily was peaceful, it was calming from everything that was happening, even if she didn't show it she was scared, not because she was in a new world but something else...
