Sophia appeared distracted throughout our journey, her eyes darting around the corridors as if looking for someone. Are you looking for someone? I asked, and her face paled at my sudden question. "No, no, I was just looking around." She stuttered. I gave her a tight smile. I knew who she was looking for, and the feeling didn't sit well with me.

When we reached the healing room, Terra came out. I greeted her warmly, and when Terra looked at Sophia with a questioning gaze, she introduced herself by extending her hand. When Terra took her hand, she quickly pulled it back, sensing a wave of dark energy. Both Sophia and I were puzzled, but Terra explained that she had been summoned by Jasmine.I asked Terra if she could give Sophia company and give her a tour. Terra looked taken aback and a bit uncertain by the way she looked at Sophia. When I looked at her, she put on a tight smile and agreed. Sophia appeared hesitant about going with Terra and looked at me for reassurance. I smiled and told her Terra was one of the best warriors in Fork's realm, as well as a dear friend, and asked her to trust her. Sophia followed Terra with a sigh of relief.I was happy to see Lyn totally recovered and healthy inside the healing room, just as I remembered her before I left the Vampire Land. As she got out of bed, I wrapped my arms around her, tears of relief and happiness streaming down my face. "I am really sorry, Lyn. I am the reason for your suffering. I am really sorry." I cried my eyes out. "I promise I will protect you, and I promise to avenge John's death. William will pay for it." I said it with determination. Lyn just smiled. "None of this is your fault, Kristen. If there is anyone to blame, then it should be the king and the prince. I nodded."I don't want to think about them, Kristen, I am hungry." She said that, and her stomach growled in response. I chuckled along with her, took her hand, and led her to the dining room. As we entered, I greeted the head servants and asked the cook to serve us some food. Lyn looked around in awe, admiring everything from the statues to the cutlery. "I have never seen anything like this before." She said looking around, and I laughed. "They call it a magical land for a reason," I said humorously. She smiled and took a seat.As the food was served, Lyn started to eat hungrily, as she had starved for days. I playfully reminded her to eat slowly to avoid choking, offering her water to wash down the food. The maids couldn't help but stare, puzzled by the presence of a human in Fork's land, and they wondered about the relationship between Lyn and me.Clearing my throat, I looked at the maids, and when our eyes met, they returned to their work, leaving Lyn and me alone. Once Lyn had finished eating, she relaxed in her seat, a tear escaping her eye. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked with concern. "I am fine, it's just that I have been starving for days. I do not know why William sent me here or if they found any loopholes to find this place. You should be careful." She said worriedly.I wiped away her tears and apologized again for everything she had been through. I assured her that I would make William pay for his actions. My anger momentarily caused the dining table and chairs to vibrate with the pressure of my powers. "Kristen, calm down." She said and placed her hand above mine."Enough of all the sadness. I am sure no one is here to serve you in my absence. Look at your skin; it's all dried up, and you look like you have lost weight. I will take care of you from now on and start serving you. She says it confidently.Calming down, I reminded Lyn, "You are not in vampire land anymore; you are in Forks's land, where every person is treated equally. You are not a servant; you are my friend, and it is now my responsibility to take care of you and keep you safe. Lyn's eyes well up with tears.Jasmine and Amrin approached us, greeting Lyn with smiles. They reassured her that she was safe and that they would protect her no matter what. "Thank you for accepting me. I was never treated with this much respect in my life." Lyn said.Amrin looked hesitant before speaking. Kristen, you know how Lyn appeared in Fork's land, right? We are afraid that the Vampires found out the location and sent Lyn as a warning to you. She then paused and hesitated. "Amrin. What is it?" I asked."I know Lyn just recovered, but we must make sure that she is not influenced by any magic by them, and we must make sure that she is not a threat. The anger inside me started to surface when Amrin doubted Lyn, which Jasmin noticed and jumped into the conversation. "What Amrin means is that we must make sure that Lyn's head is clear of any magic from them. That is the only way we can protect her." I opened my mouth to speak, but Lyn spoke before I could say anything. "I agree with them." She said.You already know how they force the witches to manipulate others, and I was in prison for months. The witches came to me every day to get the location."Kristen I know what you're thinking. Lyn will be safe; we just want to check if she is influenced by any kind of magic."Okay." I agreed halfheartedly. We went to our training room to begin the ritual.As Jasmine and Amrin began the cleansing spell, I asked Lyn to close her eyes and relax. I offered to do it, but Lyn refused, not wanting me to witness the horrors she had endured. My heart clenched at the thought of what she had gone through for my sake, yet her loyalty remained unwavering, and for that, I will always love her.After what felt like half an hour, Jasmine pulled away from Lyn, panting from the effort. Exhausted, Lyn was put to sleep to recover."What did you see? Tell me everything." I demanded. Jasmine looked at me and praised Lyn's strength, explaining that despite the torture, Lyn had remained loyal and never revealed any information about me. Her head was clear of any magic. The vampires must have realized that harming her would affect you, that's why they sent her here."I don't think Lyn is the one we should be worried about," Terra said as she walked in.
