Chapter 104

When Roman and Poppy made their way downstairs, his drunken uncle Franko was staggering and his words slurring. His cousin was sitting on the couch, laughing like it was a joke as Roman's mother was trying to get the old drunk to stop grabbing things from the tables and over the mantle.

"Damn it, Jaxson. Stop laughing and get your idiot father out of my house!" Sophia yelled, smacking the older man with her house shoe, while rollers from her hair dangled from her dark locks.

It was a sight to see with Roman's pristine mother looking like an average housewife in her fuzzy robe.

Stepping up behind Roman, his father rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "What's all the yelling about?"

"Emilio, get your worthless brother out of my house before he breaks something."

Waving his hands, the old Don wabbled over in his pajamas, not interested in dealing with all this. "Enough. Franko, what the hell are you doing here?"
