"This is my friend, Linda" Lily suddenly told Harold. The entire time she was asking Harold unending questions, she had forgotten about Linda. But amidst one of her gesticulations, she saw Linda standing awkwardly behind her.

Harold glanced at Linda, and then removed his attention from her. He nodded to acknowledge her nevertheless.

"Thank you for taking care of Lily. I appreciate it on behalf of all of us that love her" Linda told Harold with an outstretched arm, but Harold did not accept her cordial gesture. He was not in the habit of being in physical contact with any other woman apart from his wife, Lily.

Haorld's reject made Linda cringe. She wished that she would drop dead at the spot.

"Okay, see you later then" Lily announced, pulling Linda away with her. She did not witness what Harold did to her friend.

"Get back to work, I will see you later" she told Harold.
