Lily's dad was the first to snap back to the present. He was taken aback several miles when he saw Harold, to the extent that he started yelling at all the maids to serve some entertainment to their esteemed guest.
''Mr Bamak,'' Lily's dad muttered with a shaky voice. ''What brings you here without prior notice? Please take a seat,'' he added.
''Quick. Get the man something to drink. Fetch the wine that I just bought, we have a worthy visitor for it now,'' Lily's dad, Mr Mayer, continued to rant.
While Lily's dad was barking out these orders, he signaled at Lily's stepsister to leave the living room. Harold had to have been there because of what happened to Lily the previous day in the hands of her stepsister, so her sister ought to runaway from Harold's supposed lingering anger.
Lily's sister was leaving the living room when Harold stopped her.
''Excuse me, please wait,'' he said to the young lady.
