Chapter 56

Lily was heart broken. Here she was, having hurried home to meet her man, only to hear that he had traveled abroad because he was angry with her. He didn't even tell her anything, he just disappeared.

''Is there anyway I can contact him? I have been calling him but his phone is off,'' Lily told the butler.

''He's in transit. He traveled by air, so I'm sure that's why you cannot reach him. His assistant would let us know when they arrive. You just try and get some rest. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to let me know,'' The butler told Lily.

''Thanks a lot. I'd be in my room,'' Lily replied and left for her room.

Her hear sank inside her belly. She had been way too excited moments ago, and to have been hit with this sort of news immediately after that excitement, felt as if the world was ending. She walked upstairs to her room, feeling empty.
