Little Mate

The pain of her leaving stopped me. I fell to my knees as she ran away. I lost my mate the same day we find each other. 


How would I tell my parents? The pack?!


The moon gods paired me with a traitor. At least that's what my parents would say. The looks she got already. 


She was right. I had failed her over the years.

"We've been looking for you!" I hear an overly snobby voice say.

"I've had to keep a lot of things in the dark. Go get her son, it's best for all of us that she lives." I nodded and took off following her scent. 


It was starting to become night fall and her scent becoming faint. 


I started to panic but the wind picked up. 


I inhaled deeply. Strawberries and honey. She was close.


"Stalker." I turned around to see her standing in the creek with her bikini on.


"I'm really sick of everyone being so demanding."


"I don't care." She huffs before submerging herself. I walked to the edge stripping down to my boxers and swimming to where she was. I stalked her like prey admiring everything about her. From her curves to her smile. 


"You feel better?" She shrugged and laid on her back floating in the water. Her hair now spread like a spiders web.


"You can't keep running from everything you know?"


"Shut up." She says with her eyes closed. "You're not here on free will. You need me." 


'Ouch!' Kano, my wolf says. 'She's been holding that in.'


'Shut up.' I say to him which gets me an eye roll.


I watched as she pushed herself back and forth taking in the last of the few sun rays. Once the sun disappeared she pushed herself under the water before swimming to the edge. 


"Let's talk slow poke." She says getting out and picking up a towel wrapping it around her hair.


I treaded to where my clothes were at and got out. I put my clothes on slowly. Peeking to see if she was watching me. 


I was disappointed to find her with her back turned. 


"Enjoying the view?" She called out as she pulled her pants on. I turned around buttoning my jeans and pulling on my t-shirt. I waited giving her privacy but my wolf was going mad.


'You're an idiot.' Kano says wanting to turn back around.


'and your a honry son of bitch!' I threw at him. He backed off into his corner and didn't say anything.


"You can turn around now." She called out. I turned around and walked around the creek to the side she was on.
